It would be better if there was no moderation.
Yes, that is what I was saying.
I exactly quoted a post that proves you are right. I just took one, but the forum is full of those toxic posts.
LOL, not sure what that has do with my reply to your statment
I was being a little sarcastic (with a smile) on the fact different ppl play EvE in different ways, and invariably can be put into groups factored on types of gameplay…
and for in game stuff…none of them see eye to eye on many things, to expect them to self moderate…well i could probably get my cat bark on command before that happened.
Look…
I wouldn’t care or mind about those attacks if the same people wouldn’t sell themselves as the white knights of eve that perfectly KNOW what is best for the game and on the other hand try to silence every voice that opposes them…
Some people have very different play styles within EVE and can still successfully converse with others pursuing a different style of play.
But, yes, I would expect barking cats before some forum posters converse without rancor.
Yea well, there has to be some decorum and moderation to maintain the PEGI-12 rating.
Do you mean we should be calm and collected enough to converse without flames, or that we should have a free for all in the forums?
He only wants peace…like the mods…the peace of a grave…
The above is the reason why ISDs (@ISD_Dorrim_Barstorlode) needs to move off-topic conversation to a separate thread.
A legitimate, on-topic question was asked, yet it is going to be buried and forgotten by the heap of trash that is the discussion of what constitutes a personal attack towards Balos.
I know how that would turn out. For a while it would be amusing but soon enough the rabid screeching would down out anything useful. Perhaps a subforum for the FFA flaming, though just what to call it escapes me.

@ISD_Buldath - Who will be moderating the EvE Echoes forums?
I don’t know. I have no information on that at the moment. We might in the future though.
“We might” Being I might have more information in future.
May Bob have mercy on your soul if you end up moderating the Eve Echos forum , the mobile gamers are probably as fractious as us miscreants, if not more.
WE have been very lenient, Dorrim and I.
Many are finding we are being less lenient when our warnings are continually ignored.
Justice without force is powerless©.
I, for one, am glad that you see fit to be lenient with us.
I happen to like my posting privileges and try not to stretch the rules as far as some. That said there are times when things get a bit heated and stuff gets said.
I told you all already!
It’s quite easy…delete the flagging ability and about 2/3 of the unnecessary discussions and personal attacks are avoided…
Most of those are just revenge for being flagged by idiots that cannot stand another opinion…
Start to moderate instead of letting people abuse the system…
No.
The flagging ability is a very useful tool for ISD in managing the forums. It far outweighs the downsides.
Besides, Being a integral part of the software i do not believe it can be disabled.
