I want to present this idea for the CEO of Safety in the best interest of all legit miners in HS.
1 - Transparency, we want the mining permits to be publicly available on a web site showing the date / paid value / expiration date;
2 - We want tier prices based on the ship / ore / security space;
3 - We want Safety to patrol the belts and get rid of the rats, so we can lazily and greedily use mining drones instead of combat drones;
4 - Safety patrols have, at their discretion, the right to convo the pilot at any time while being on grid, in case of no answer for 3 times, that pilot may be executed for behaving like a bot. We don’t want this people here.
5 - If Safety, while enforcing their duties of protecting the miners, detect some low effort alpha clone flying total trash venture, it will destroy that venture for the sake of the player, so he can learn how to play properly.
I expect this to be the start of a great cooperation. We are willing to negotiate, but I feel the terms are very plausible.
I would think that destroying Exhumers is more fun, more profitable and more beneficial to the game than killing new Alpha players in Ventures, but you do you.
I think you should vibecode such a transparency website and tokenize the mining permits and link them to etherium blockchain technology like some NFTs.
Maybe make the miners auth on a website and get their ESI locations so safety can always check on their wellbeing.
6 - If Safety determines that your Exhumer or Mining Barge is poorly fit, they may, at their discretion regardless of whether or not the miner possesses a mining permit, destroy the Exhumer or Mining Barge to help the miner learn to properly fit his or her ships.
Does this mean that if Safety. scans your vessel and determines it is richly fit, i.e. with abyssal rolled ORE strip miners, they will leave you alone?
I should have mentioned that if a ship is properly fit, it can’t be detonated by Safety. The cost to do so is too high. I know some people don’t agree, but I’ve more than proven it to be the case. Now gate camps are a different story. They’re set up and prepared for the cost. Roving Safety squads are not.
I found it quite profitable to sell mining permits in null, combined with a cloaky camping campaign. You need to make it a reasonable amount, I charged people 5m ISK per day to mine in peace, and I ALWAYS honoured it. Word soon got around, this guy charges a very reasonable fee, and keeps his word, and that’s an easy few billion a month. Sure it won’t make you rich, but an extra few billion for doing nothing is still better than…nothing.
