Im in the channel all the time as well and ive never seen any of the things youre claiming is happening. As mentioned, and ill repeat myself once again. The only vile and offensive talk thats in that channel are people like you that cant handle a little tiny loss of a pixel ship. Its nothing but abyssal runners and miners that do it. I never see any ganker say anything like you describe.
Im a full blooded carebear miner…ive admitted it on these boards a couple hundred times already…and seeing other miners such as myself spreading vile and offensive material like ive seen them do is appalling and its highly embarrassing to the rest of the mining community.
Post some screen shots of these interactions you claim is going on since you claim youre there. Put them up or stfu. Nobody that hangs in that channel believes one single damn word you say.

I think there are some who will naturally loose interest.
But there are also those who will be driven from the game by the negative behaviour of Greifers , gankers ans people who set up hate filled channels and websites
You see this is the kind of waffle you get in that chat and worse.
Its by design though, wind the victim up until they react then pretend to be the victim from said reaction without actually admitting you were the one who instigated it. Classic bullying tactic but of course its Griefing in this sense.
The next step would be deliberate misinterpretations of inuendo’s and humour as harassment or vulgarity, while not mentioning engaging in the same yourselves.
Ganking and the general aftermath of it in these channels and on those websites don’t cause people to “rage quit” as that term itself is simply another attempt to extract an reaction. Instead it cause players to ask themselves “do I want to continue with a game that has toxic antagonist bullies (and their channels and websites) around that I cant block and ignore totally or should i just move on to games that i can do that”
For every one that moves on because of this is one too many.
The posts above have sough to mitigate the impact by basically saying its not a large number. It could be 1 it could be a 1000 either way its too many.
It would be more accurate to say Nobody in that channel will admit it here or they would get themselves in Deep trouble.

However to stay on topic here I think most would agree that the channels and websites are part of the problem and totally uncalled for. We want as many people to stay in the game as possible, driving them away like that is bad.
If this were an actual problem, The owner of the channel or mods would deal with it. Lets move past this obvious slander.

I think he’s argued his cause so long that facts are no longer relevant. Its all just a desperate scramble to save face and not be wrong. Thus I really don’t think the ‘issue’ is still even EVE…its a personal crusade. In fact I really don’t think any of the regulars who go off on ‘think of the children !’ type rants really give a **** about EVE. Its all personal forum PvP…from people who claim to hate PvP.

To be fair, just because I haven’t encountered what someone calls “griefers” doesn’t mean there aren’t some. I haven’t been followed by criminals interested in blowing me up again. But then again, I responded with silence or humor and picked myself up. Some bored gankers might, perhaps, go after a player who voices his displeasure in public? Just to see if he’ll produce another amusing response?
In my experience, griefers make rather poor gankers. They are looking for easy content and easy kills, but Highsec ganking turns out to be unexpectedly difficult. I’ve met a few wannabe griefer gankers, but they all quit or get banned.
Pretty much the MO of the perps, then its mocked in the chat channel and on the website.
In my experience, people who join war corps thinking they can now sit outside the trade hub undick and start ganking noobs will quickly be shown the door. Its crazy the delusional things people believe when they have never taken part.
