It’s good advice though, I don’t think people need to be ‘qualified’ to say things that make sense.
You’re off topic and people would probably love to talk about wars and war hqs if you made a thread about that topic, provided that you start the thread with a clear description of the topic.

Going back to the topic I think it’s better for player retention to teach new players that they’re not helpless but have their own tools they can learn to survive in this game.
Even against players who have played longer.
What’s far worse for for player retention is to scare players with stories of unavoidable unfair ganks.
We know that ganks make up only a very small fraction of the total PvP kills in this game.
We also know that the amount of complaints about ganks compared to complaints about other forms of PvP are disproportionally larger here on this forum than this small ratio of ganks to total PvP kills.
(This last thing is not unsurprising because for many players who are war-immune and play in HS ganks are the only PvP they could possibly see if they’re unlucky or greedy.)
This means players are much more likely to be directly affected by ganking complaints than by the ganks themselves.
If player retention then is hurt by ‘ganks’, while ganks against new players are off limits because of rookie-griefing rules, I expect the impact of gank complaints to be far stronger on player retention than the impact of ganks themselves.
If player retention is your goal my suggestion is to stop complaining about ganks.
Teach newbies to survive instead.

Incorrect. The point was it’s not the act it’s self but the aftermath.
Surely the aftermath could do that themselves instead of trying to extort new players with fake “permits”, insults and generally winding people up for the sake of a reaction for their website .
“Why you got ganked” - they don’t to actually say much about that truth be told. Instead it vile insults, or calls for player to simply not choose activities like mining or missions, or being in high sec In general etc. It’s that which makes me doubt the sincerity of their intentions.
There are other groups who frankly do a lot better job at teaching people to play better than safety , and in a much more respectful manner. At present the whole cyber bully approach of safety just makes me have little to no respect for them . They simply behave children .

- Actually do what you pretend to do and teach players you gank afterwards how to avoid subsequent attacks ( extortion with fake permits doesn’t count)
- Drop the Lie that you are doing it for anything other than self gratification and your craving need for attention and emotional response.
- Just continue in vain to try and extract emotional response on a forum board which does nothing more than expose you for what you truly are

I’m pretty sure CCP knows that the system facilitates Care bears to be cancer. Hell maybe they gave it to them in there as their own form of PVP. They’re never going to do anything against a Care Bear bro. He’s playing a victim that’s all he needs to do. When you PVP you are the enemy. If you are a Care Bear and play the victim card CCP will always help you. But keep in mind CCP that I don’t want your help unless it comes to game mechanics.

PVP is griefing and not agreeing with him is cyber bullying… Girgud. Can you imagine how many buttons he’s trying to press right now to get you banned. All the actual evidence will be passed over and dismissed because he’s a Care Bear. I guarantee you the moderators are usually tools like him and inclined to hate you.

One day I hope we have more than a House of Representatives and decide to understand the beauty in having a Senate along with it. The role of CCP should be a neutral third party that is anti-monopoly and pro competition. This is so basic it’s taught in Middle School… Might depend how old you are.
