It’s honestly not been updated for a while just added to.
Regardless it needs clarification from a Developer. Once that’s done there no more of all this .
I believe they already have in part with the creation of Exordium. However those who are coding savvy will Know there’s a big difference in the person power and time to created new space and altering the coding of existing space that has been there for some time .
For all we know Suicide Ganking could well be a case of CCP looking at an unintentional feature and just sayin “meh that’s to much effort to fix let’s just stay quiet on the subject” .
We won’t know until they choose to say so . All we can do is speculate .
And even if did then: “But he can be wrong too, maybe listening to bad advisors or soemthing, didn't even see Earth from space anyway, I don't believe a single word of it!”
While CONCORD forces do react quickly and with force, they do not have a mandate to protect attacked players and as such will not necessarily be able to prevent eventual losses if attackers can field sufficient firepower to destroy their targets before CONCORD can intervene. CONCORD should therefore be regarded as a force of retribution, not one of protection.
Edit: Note the last update date of that support article: Updated 2 years ago
Or one person is saying it’s easy to fix the coding for an existing part of computer game even though there’s plenty of evidence to point out that it’s not as simple as they think it is. The other is saying it’s not as simple as the other person thinks it is, and is getting called a troll for it
kage1982: I think that guy over there is a Reptiloid! Smart Guy: No man, I am his friend his whole life, he surely isn’t. kage1982: I am sure, but lets agree to disagree!!!111 Biologist: Look, I have studied all my life. Not a single bit of evidence about Reptiloids has been found. kage1982: They could all hide from us. We can’t know for sure until we look under his skin! Have you cut his skin to see whats underneath??? Biologist: No… I don’t cut peoples skin to find out if they are… Reptiloids… kage1982: SEE! You can’t be sure! No one can! I don’t believe you until we know for sure! Nobody has cut him open yet! Doctor: Man, I am his doctor, I have given him several injections, he isn’t a Reptiloid! kage1982: But have you cut him open? He could have very thick human looking skin! You can’t know for sure!!111 Surgeon: I actually did cut him open during a surgery. He is a normal being. He isn’t a Reptiloid! kage1982: But DID YOU CUT HIS BRAIN OPEN??? The Reptiloid coudl be very small and hiding in the skull! You guys all know nothing. It’s still 50/50 he is a Reptiloid!
…
That is the level of conversation we are having right now.
Exactly ! Now check the previous versions against the update. How many things in the “update” are actually obsolete game mechanics that they didn’t remove because let’s face it that takes effort and just added the new stuff.
Nothing in coding is “easy” as you think it is. That’s why people in that profession get paid what they do.
Take for example High sec. All the systems that it includes , without adding in the coding required for randomly spawning WH and sites and missions etc can you grasp how hard it would be to change the coding for that after even a year let alone 10 or 20 ?
I’d not blame them for kicking the can down the line on that one tbh it’s a long long job .
Not long ago they turned off red safety as an option for Alpha characters in hisec, even had to adjust it after at least one method was discovered to still do it (outside hisec then keep it in hisec too I believe but not 100% sure) so they already did it, they could just adjust the existing new code to apply to any character regardless of clone state.
Something you are better off asking them about. But as “easy” as you think it is or was you are probably wrong as nothing in coding is as easy as people think.
Honestly there’s no need for these childish ending quips .
I have some experience with coding in both my profession and in my spare time.
I see zero reason to believe that it is more work to turn off red safeties for all players than it took them to turn off red safeties for the specific subgroup of Alpha players, given that the second thing is the first thing plus an extra step.
I’m ending with that question because you keep coming up with new excuses despite evidence pointing to the contrary.
You are looking for an emotional response there won’t be one
Because your experience of coding is by your own word “limited” .
Coding data and recoding legacy data are two completely different tasks. It’s like re wiring a house with only the original blueprints and hoping you don’t hit a gas line .
