Monopolies and peace

Hello, there seems to be an issue with moon mining and customs offices in high sec. There is only one moon mining structure and customs office allowed per moon/planet.

Yes, but the real question to be asked is: who controls all the POCOs? The answer is null-sec.

The real question is who controls null-sec?

The real question is who controls CCP?

:smirk: :psyccp:

CSM perhaps

The real question is who controls Pearl Abyss?

Could be the CSM

Yep, that’s when you band together and take the income of those moons and planets for yourself!

EVE wouldn’t be nearly as fun if everything was evenly shared between all players. There are monopolies and therefore chances to grab them.

Ice Belts does not have a fixed limit on the amount of players allowed. Yet Ice is not evenly shared between all players. I think you are making a straw man

We were talking about monopolies on moons and planets.

Just because other things are also not shared equally doesn’t mean they’re also monopolies.

There probably shouldnt be a hard limit of one POCO per planet and one mining drill per moon

Why not?

It’s something to fight over.

Anyway, if you wish to smuggle goods off a planet without paying the POCO owner you can launch goods into space with the command center. Downside is that the batches are limited in volume and you pay a static 15% tax (I think), but it’s an option.

You can still fight over POCOs and moon mining drills if more than 1 was allowed on each planet/moon

Why are you asking for additional POCOs per planet and drills per moon?

Is it perhaps because you do not want to fight over it?

Because if you wanted to fight over them you have plenty of options. Why would people fight when they don’t have to?

The game needs more reasons to fight, not less.

The biggest reason to fight: For bragging rights

If the game was in a better state then more people would want to be good at it

But that is besides the point

Indeed.

I think the real point was that you wanted to add another nonsensical suggestion to your long list of threads in the 3 days you’ve been posting?

Its not a bad idea to remove the hard limit on Moon mining drills and POCOs

It is a bad idea which reduces opportunities of conflict for what I assume are selfish reasons.

Please stop posting bad ideas.

Removing the hard limit does not remove the opportunity of conflict since you can destroy the others POCOs and drills

How is “I want a POCO on that planet but I do not want to fight the current owner for it” not reduce conflict?

Why would anyone want to kill POCOs or drills if killing them is meaningless? It’s meaningless to kill them when you can simply plant your own next to it?
