Where did I say “nothing but buffs”?

Sorry Massive buffs, which I have to see any of those either.

Hence my earlier question about how long you’ve been playing.

You don’t see the move from passive moon goo extraction to active mining as a buff to mining? You don’t see the rorqual buffs as a buff to mining? You don’t see the orca buffs as a buff to mining?

Then there’s really nothing that can be discussed at all, since you just want to cry over nerfs.

My mistake.

I think we agree more than disagree then.

From what I can tell the amount of low risk mining in high sec is much greater than anytime in the past currently and this will lead to even more high sec mining alts.

So, the things that have any value at all are the ones that are gone, replaced with things that are borderline useless, and we have to just sit tight and HOPE that there will be some use for these in the future?

Seems to me like you really don’t want a player run economy anymore, truth be told.

Mining in high sec is still quite profitable. No, you won’t be making 37 billion ISK every 5 minutes like in null, but it’s been pretty good to me.

I am not sure about this, the amount of ore in belts has not changed in any way that I can find since the 2000s. This ore is almost all mined out by the middle of the day and is extremely limited.

As i see it, miners are going to gain from this.

Anyone mining common ores from belts will be in high demand, and the ore and minerals from said ore will liven the markets up.

I’ve already seen nulsec corps getting into biding wars over common minerals already.

As for Rorq players bitching about mining due to the changes, place your Rorq better to get the best possible asteroid coverage and better skills, modules and implants to increase drone ranges.
Surely you’re not that dumb not to think of improving on a bad situation that some seem to think exists. Get Exhumers mining outside Rorqs drone range.

As for the moon miners, yes you loose access to common ores, but there’s a couple things to remember;

1: Moon goo will be in high demand once CCP change BPO manufacturing requires to include moon goo.
2: While waiting for new moon asteroids to pop, get mining fleet mining common ore from system belts.

If you have inactive mining fleets you’re wasting isk income, so both points above are important.

As i see it this CCP change to moons and other changed that have happened and due to happen will liven up mining industry, cause manufacturing to form contracts for best possible mineral purchases, cause higher demand for fully researched BPO/C’s to reduce mineral requirements…

…and provide an new PVP content of ore highjacking. This would mean transporters will become even more valuable target to attack and to be protected.
Thus the transport industry and escort fleets will return with a higher demand than has been seen in years.

So don’t just think one level about these changes , think large of the flow on effects. Too many think short-scale these days and never think big picture anymore.

Just something to chew on.

This will kill my Corps WH system. We have a C3 with only R4 moon ore. We placed our 3 athanors and a Tatara just for the basic ores we need to make stuff. Veld, scord, gneiss, spod, Crokite and Arkonor. All these ores are listed as being removed. The R4 is worthless to us, especially is all get get are Pyerite & Mexallon. We get very few ore anoms. You would have to triple the amount of ore anoms to make it worthwhile keeping this system or add ore belts to WHs. We ,your customers, have to have more info on ore changes NOW. It appears my personal best option will be to unanchor all my structures, sell them, moved back to high sec and change my 3 accounts to alphas.

Since the time of moon mining being added, anomalies have undergone severe nerfs. The moon mining wasn’t a massive buff as much as it was an increase to the level anomalies previously produced. So no I don’t creating a supplement in place of the nerfs a massive buff. Beyond any previous buffs or nerfs, before the anomaly change in Decemeber they were collectively a wash with no huge swing in either director.

The anomaly change in connection with the moon change is a massive nerf to the availability of minerals. Not since the early part of the game has ore had to come almost exclusively from belts. I actually can’t even remember a time when reprocessing wasn’t one of the stronger ways to get minerals before that nerf happened. Your belief that this is all fine is based on some strange though that before all these changes minerals primarily came from belts

Ever since they sold to Pearl Abyss, it certainly seems like it.

This is good for everyone.

Your efforts will be worth more. All of our virtual assets will be worth more. Yes, you will need to adjust, but the game is much better when everyone is not just declared a winner for logging in.

You will survive. Adapt, and remember that your rivals are impacted the same.

The trick is to out-think your rivals and do better than them. Stop focusing on your assets or income or grinding, and start thinking about your relative success as compared to your opponents.

Be an Eve player!

Hate say but did you read the CCP update?

Sure you loose common ores from moons…

…but moon goo will be required in manufacturing soon!
CCP has already state they are going to add moon goo to BPO’s in the near future. So this will become a common requirement.

And as for common ore, you know you have access to multiple systems and WH var wormholes, just requires scanning down and scouting to find good ones, and good mining fleet management.

Everyone should remember there is an ore rebalance planned for this year, once the dry period has been completed and CCP has completed their data analyst of ores and minerals, so we’ll likely see WH Ore sites improve, along with other adjustments.

Well done CCP, well done, another “great” change. Keep “redistributing” this moons /ores and keep players adapt more to your ideas… or guess what? we really dont have to adapt to your changes, and we will simply unsubscribe and quit this game …
Ps. oh I forgot about red dots :red_circle: :red_circle: another awesome change !

CCP thank you so much for the changes, you are true masters of disaster. I am so really happy  my subs ends in 2 weeks, literally can’t wait. Guys get preped and buy some butter will not hurt that much. And a small farewell gift from me, some lovely red dots, to you. :red_circle: :red_circle: :red_circle: :red_circle: :red_circle: Enjoy!

Soon™

I mean I expect to win the lottery Soon™ also. Instead CCP is releasing a game breaking change and then holding off the fix for “reasons”

Yeah, we heard the same thing from market traders. Guess what? It wasn’t the end of the world and EVE continues…
