Moon Mineral Distribution Update

Sure you can. X4. If you just want to play a space business tycoon and never interact with others X4 is a much better game.
If you want to play EVE you need to realise that other people will interact with you, and accept that as part of the gameplay that some of those interactions will even be about shooting you

I second this. The pretense of “security” in highsec is meaningless.
It just plays out in a scenario of Kusion having 20 catalyst alts to warp in on you with.
What’s the point of security at all, if you can be blob ganked in 1.0 space?

Just remove security and CONCORD all together. Make everything every where absolutely uniform, planets, moons, belts, anoms. Just homogenize and gut the game entirely, then remove the police. Seems like where we are headed to, and partially at anyways. Just jump right to it, and drop the pretense.

LMAO.
So, instead of Kusion with 20 Catalysts he looses, you want him with 12 Cruisers and 8 Logi he doesn’t loose ever right… Or just the 20 Catalysts he never looses.
Sounds a great plan… Not.

Sure, why not. Then maybe others will roam in and blob him.
Just remove security and police all together and let the game do what it’s gonna do.

It’s actually brilliant. I wouldn’t play the game in that state, but it sure would make for some interesting stream content.

Let me see, you think people would rather blob combat ships over mining vessels just hanging out asking to be shot…
Wow, you clearly are delusional.

So, you’re saying people would rather hunt for helpless mining barges than engage in fleet pvp?
I don’t know about delusional, but maybe i’m a little off about what gank fleets roam for.
Roaming for mining barges sounds pretty boring, compared to hunting camper fleets.

Just think.
You could have caps and supers every where.
It would completely change the game, fundamentally, if police went away and any fleet size/comp could go where they please.

Yes, it would utterly kill the game over a short timespan.
EVE survives because it has multiple different types of space. Each of which has their own PvP rules and styles of gameplay they support.
You are seriously mad if you think that the fact gankers exist means all of EVE is well on the way to being like Null anyway.

It is. Low/null and wh have no police, and the police in highsec are meaningless.
Do you even haul in highsec, or go to Jita? Everywhere within 15 jumps of Jita is filled with campers. You should go to Uedama and watch Kusion at work some time, or sit at Jita 4-4 undock, or any of the gates in that system. Sit at a moon belt spawn and watch catalysts warp in and kill a 300 mil isk ship with around 12 mil in ships.

If security is pointless, why even have it?

Why yes, I regularly fly through, and have seen Kusion. Weirdly he never shoots me because I don’t haul 300 million isk in a T1 hauler with no tank.
And therefore high sec security is good enough to discourage Kusion from bothering to gank me.
So, it isn’t pointless.

Just hauling 100 mil in a tanked t1 is enough to get shot at by the gauntlet of tornados surrounding jita.

They are most certainly not meaningless. You can undock from Jita in cheaper ships and not get destroyed instantly, after all.

You’re not seeing the big picture.
If police are gone, campers are targets too.
Those 300 people sitting outside Jita would be vulnerable, not just people undocking.
Not having your shuttle or ibis popped is kind of a terrible excuse for police.

Then campers will just form one big group which would eliminate any other threats.

If Jita is Null sec then you get popped regardless of your ship value, tank, Insta undocks, etc.
So which would you rather have. Some safety if you are smart or certain death.

High does not equal perfect.

You mean like goons, code and others?
What makes you think Jita would still be a central trade hub, or that there would be any major trade hubs at all? At least none that weren’t guarded by massive response fleets and patrols anyways.

You’d likely be safer that way than with police that spawn out of thin air, and operate on garbage scripting behavior. The only thing highsec and npc claimed space are good for, is keeping any one corp or alliance from dominating the game, and running a monopoly. That’s the only real purpose security status serves imo.

And you do realize if that did happen jita markets would instantly be dead within a week, and all said gankers would be trapped inside jita, and any exit through gates would face gate keepers just waiting.

The reason for highsec was to allow noobe players a chance to learn the game and decide if eve is the game for them.

Remove the security and you risk the chance of not gaining new players.

Do what every other mmo does. Give them a sectioned off part of the game to learn in.
Like an island, for noobs. Many mmo’s have them, and that’s where the trial ends. Instead a free lifetime pass to play the game.

No it wasn’t. High sec is not the newbie area.
P.s. Difference between newbie & noob. learn it.
High sec is an area of space where the NPC empires have greater influence, null sec is for the kingdom builders, wh is for the mad, and low is for the smaller gang type people.
All the areas are equally viable for certain styles of end game play, and the mindset that highsec should be a newbie area is a terrible one.

Hello Dopamine

Currently you cant compress moon ore making the moving around of it a complete and utter mind field to the logistics teams.

Will this change or is the fact they not compressible a bonus for your end vision?

I don’t mind both really so if you say its part of the plan then I am cool with that.

Thank You
Eric
