Since I was pinged about it, yes, Arrendis was a Director with Goonswarm Federation and not just a simple line member/LFC, but it seems that point is entirely moot and the thread very far gone. Still, I was asked to spill the beans harder. Don’t @ me, I’m enjoying my vacation from the pod.

I don’t think this thread has to be read as confrontationally as it has been.
I am a fan of Jin-Mei historical fantasy. There are always caves full of brigands in that genre. It would be entertaining for one film to show brigands playing chess, but that would only work once. If the Floating World behaves the same as the Temple World, it serves no purpose.
To make this thread into something fun, instead of confrontational, replace every paragraph of bravado with “yar!” There is interesting material between the “yars.”
In the beginning, I thought the auction would be unwieldy. Now if I understand correctly, asking for rare goods instead of ISK would make it easier to identify the culprits. That’s interesting.
During the “trial” phase, I substituted my own film noir narrative.
A brigand’s captive getting involved with a courtesan who is trying to poison the crown prince so the fourth prince can ascend to the throne is classic historical fantasy. I removed the fedos. The fourth prince always has a beautiful admirer that gets treated poorly by everyone. Stilted admirers are always rummaging through desks and stealing documents.
I asked the brigand leader if she had any idea who had access to the desk. The brigand leader replied. She didn’t have to. I have no “kill” profile. I spend all of my time in Lirsautton, except for trips to Dodixie and Luminaire. There is no reason for a brigand leader to respond to me, and consequently, there is no reason for me not to like her responses.
Even if this entire episode was constructed, I am grateful someone went to that much trouble.

I choose to believe that each of the parties that have commented here have a goal in common; a quest for truth and proof in extremely shrouded circumstances.
If our disparate resources were aligned as opposed to divided in confrontation, much could be achieved.
