Not strictly true - waaaay back in the day I remember there was no single launcher (seperate login screens) and having to jury rig / copy my installs to get multiple instances of eve running.
The deadline was just for merging accounts (although you can still do it). The discount/benefits will be announced soon tm. Nothing was concrete about the announcement happening on June 1st. That was just poor grammar and people being stupid and assuming the deadline meant an announcement as well.
Sorry for being stupid enough to think CCP would actually explain anything.

I do remember playing pre-launcher. Don’t remember if I had to have separate client installs, but I have run two (sometimes more) accounts since my second year.
Why would I link my accounts without knowing whats going to happen lol, just now its something that I don’t want and would rather my accounts be unlinked.

Um, that’s got nothing to do with linked accounts, from what I can see. And by “Revitalized” apparently they mean “Multiple Character Training is exactly what it was before, except now we’re selling it to you in bigger, overpriced packages. Because we need lots of your money. Now. Or else PA sells us to Activision.”

@ccp (hopefully this doesn’t actually send a ping) Are you guys saying that we can now log on 2 characters from the same account at the same time? As you said “a Scout” and we know a scout needs to be logged on at the same time as the main char in order to scout the main char.
You log in one fateful day and there’s not 3 character slots but several dozen and all your character portraits are staring back at you. You consider the implications and scream NOOOOO!

From the mail I received today. The benefit is you can now buy a discounted month of omega.
“What’s it been discounted to?”, you might be wondering. Why, the same price it was right before they jacked it up.

Just got the email, the “discount” is you pay $20 for your main, and $15 for each alt account. so much wow, mega awe. We get to over pay 1 account, and pay the regular price for alts. I feel blessed. This certainly isnt urine that is raining down on me right now.
Is this a temp offer, or something we can use from now on ?
If it is a permantent or at least long term deal, it would be great.
