Multiboxing Poll

Because they aren’t hard restrictions, just easily circumvented ones, all they will check is for another client running, and thats not to actually prevent multiboxing as such, there is also the issue that most other MMO’s require you to take a far more active role when playing, you can’t exactly set up your WoW character to orbit a boss and spam all its skills without input or cheating, whereas in EVE that is an entirely valid option, so in those games the restriction is mostly because its generally too complicated to manage multiple characters with 10 cooldowns each, probably possible but i wouldn’t want to be the person to try and run 2 instances of WoW and not fail horridly, outside of that its probably also down to any clientside anti-cheat they are running aswell, but like i said circumventing a 1 per PC rule is easy enough these days anyway and no game worth its salt would have an IP restriction on number of clients anyway, atleast not to any number that would be easy to hit

Agree to disagree

Sure, and imagine how few people would want to pay for that or get annoyed if they have to wait an hour for someone to get there, like i said above, even if there was a 1 client per machine limit that is easily bypassed

In the truest spirit of an MMO sure, but the game was also made with being able to use numbers to increase the speed at which you do something, a role alts fill pretty much perfectly, and CCP knew that going in
