My current feelings on why people dont stay after starting

I agree, especially for solo pvp. Most people only really start getting the hang of it after their first couple of hundred losses, its not just the tactics its also about recognizing ships and players and second guessing what they might be doing so you can act accordingly.

Unfortunetly solo pvp seems to be somewhat relegated to lowsec facwar areas at the moment and even then it can be hard to find decent fights… well unless you like roaming null for hours hoping to come across a gang that doesnt have a cyno, isnt 20+, doesnt have a jag or two… or simply reships into exactly what you dont want to fight… or 10 battelships for one cruiser…

Or more than likely simply stays docked.

People used to be young, naive, softskinned and cute, and mine lowsec with but their only Covetor, just because, and without it being an obvious blob bait.

But people have grown into hard and fat adults now.

Hence the game going dry, bitter, hairy, sweaty and nofun.

So from EVE North:

So the contention is that half of new registrations don’t login at all and then of those that do, 90% are gone in 3 days because of Trigs, Drifters, FW, etc.?

By day 3 these features have turned people off?

Seems more like:

New players don’t login because…

*shuffles deck and draws card*

…half finished features.

I dont believe the choice of activity outside of their experience level affects it more than any other game tbh.
Most MMOs at the moment barrage new players with a million things, 75% or more for a cash shop, 20% for stuff they cant do yet and 5% is part of the event that they came in for/during.

And yes I pulled those figures from Billy’s butt, but EvE is following the trend.

No Billys were harmed during the pulling of those numbers.
They were all in !

So, basically, what you’re saying is that there is too much content . . . ?
I actually agree with this sentiment. It reminds me of how sometimes, a certain, special friend of mine touches me in a certain way, in certain places, and it is just TOO MUCH!!! It just makes me explode (figuratively speaking).

I also agree with this, somewhere between 100% to 241.638%. EVE is not finished. It’s like they’re still building the very concept of EVE.
Like, HELLO! CCP, you had over a decade to boldly go where no one has gone before. Can you be there already so I can stop wanting to play this game?

I agree with this as well. I would like to see the Vigil able to field 1 or 2 more drones, heavy drones or maybe fighters, preferable. And it should also be able to field a doomsday.

I genuinely had no idea ostriches could have milk. (non australian and non-native english language)

I 've been enlightened that milking your male ostrich twice a day is the optimal number for insemination ?

Anyone else notice that OP just made the thread and never actually addressed any of the questions?

I’m starting to feel like this was a troll thread.

Its now another Ostrich Milk thread!

New people quit because EVE is not for everyone. Even when game started it was aiming at specific people. Now when modern games are for zombies, plays itself and you can be top 1 if just dump enough $ etc. It’s really hard to find people that will enjoy unique EVE. I bet that 95% of current teenagers wont look at EVE any more after first day because it’s to hard and you must wait to do things.

My biggest concern is not that EVE don’t get new players, but that CCP will trash things that make EVE game we all love to something simple and shallow just to attract modern people. But also looking at how CCP was blind and surprised about how terrible old wardec, maybe it will take some time to get also that terrible idea.

I would just for one month move the starter systems to NPC lowsec and see what happens. For science.

Can we just go somewhere else please? There must be some new game made by people who aren’t assholes exploiting stupids while being deluded by corporate buzzwords. If it’s even a delusion… there’s actually zero reason to believe upper management of game companies aren’t aware how they’re literally ■■■■■■■ people’s minds.

Anyhow… we go there, grab everyone sane we can, then come back here.

Enough said.

Exactly.

There should be an insta-pvp arena, or a pvp arena where you can test out ship simulations (even without a second player)

A raid? Into enemy territory? Sounds fun!

Yeah, though i fear the instant gratification crowd, like the one above your post, are everywhere nowadays. Someone should dig out that study that proved that these people are apparently losers in real life.

Can’t find the study itself, but found this instead.
It’s actually really easy to find confirmation of the above statement.

Yup I hear that.

Ive been trying to get a couple old friends back in but what they want is overcatered for else where and theyve more friends, and more social activity there.

That said I told em how to do stuff so maybe its a lack of leadership.

■■■■■■ if I know tbh
