What PVE can eve possibly have that isn’t reduced to a calculation?

I dunno, other games manage to have fun systems, never knew what CCPs problem was.

PVE in EVE is designed to be not fun, so the player don’t notice PVP is also not fun at least 50% of the time. :smirk:

Limit breaks? Line of sight? Headshots? A variety of attacks with interesting choices between splash damage, damage over time?

Corners and walls?

Yes, all that.

…and people spam the same ability over and over.

“This one last Haven !”

That’s the reply I had to deal for years , when asking people on comms to do a roam. Eventually after 1-2 hours they were ready for it , just when I was about to get ready for bedtime.

I fail to see how that’s my problem.

Then they shouldn’t advertise it as “free to play”. They should advertise it as “free to try”. Or are you suggesting that CCP engages in false advertisment?

The past has proven already several times, that this kind of attitude always leads to mass exploiting and destruction…

Maybe maybe not. But frankly, I don’t give a damn.
But when a game is advertised as “free to play” I expect it to be free to play and I register and play for free. I don’t see the problem with that.
Also, eploitation and destruction is the hallmark of the human race. I don’t see that changing anytime soon so I don’t see why my attitude has anything to do with it. Even if I adopted your attitude there would still be exploitation and destruction so why should I pay Omega for a free-to-play game?

All of that would be great, yeah.

That’s really just meaningless babble like “we should just end world hunger”, it sounds cool and as if you know what you’re talking about but it really is just saying nothing at all. They are nondefined hopes and dreams without any sort of action, effort or value.

Make a factual suggestion, propose workable solutions. The issue if of course that the second you do this 10 people will love it and another 10 people will tell you it sucks, you have no idea what you’re talking about and should just uninstall.

Still: come with solutions and ideas, not babble. And make it solutions that allow for repeatable content, which is what PVE is in EVE. Not just “here’s a cool story line I personally care about that you are really ever going to do once or twice”.

For the extra stuff. Of course, it’s up to you to decide if the extra stuff is worth you money.

As far as I understand it now, I don’t need the extra stuff and if I do, it won’t be for many months or even years to come. Some of that extra stuff takes months to train into and cost WAY TO MUCH for me to feel comfortable spending my money on and lose it in the few seconds it takes to get ganked.
I’m not ready to spend money on this game. Don’t get me wrong, I do like playing the game, I’m just not comfortable spending money when I barely understand how to play it. The mechanics, meta, industry, resource gathering, PvP, anchoring, fleet… It’s going to take a lot of time before I’m ready to commit to this game. I figure maybe 2 years if not more.

I think with that attitude you will be doing just fine should you decide “to commit”. You already figured by yourself something that we repeat like a mantra there:
Never risk what you cannot afford to lose.

If i can make one suggestion: take your time with the game, but try to find the people you want to play with ASAP. More often than not, is the people that you play with that make or break your experience in EVE.

Then I should also take my time with that. Maybe befriend a few players before choosing which corporation I want to be a part of. Not only that but I don’t want to join and be dead weight. I want to be somewhat competent and hold my own before getting into a corporation so that I can help and be useful. I don’t like to mooch or have my hand held. It’s a question of pride and integrity.

No one can be trusted.

Especially not in EvE.
