Not to dampen the enthusiasm of our fellow contesters but bringing a 3 billion isk frigate into abyssal space to find an acceleration cloud only to explode by triglavian or drifter forces to enter the contest is a little expensive - at least for me.
Also the claw and the crusader fit last exactly 12 times a 200gj cap charges before you cap out.
If it is possible to reach full speed with 12 cap charges I haven’t tried out.
I doubt that skirmish link effects would last long enough to get to 100% cold mwd speed.
However my Punisher fit does reach those speeds and since it is cap stable does not run out of cap while accelerating.
Well, since there’s a c4 BH readily available on sisi…
The align time in a C6 with links on the claw would be 21.5s
My align time without links in a C4 is 23.2.
I burnt 6 cap charges and made it to 99.8% of max. 2:45 from when I first started moving to when my prop burnt.
First heated prop cycle began at about 65 seconds.
This is probably close to peak performance as I didn’t get a single prop heat damage pulse until my heat meter was absolutely maxed - over a full minute later. So, you probably aren’t going to make it to 100% but have you SEEN the way CCP rounds?
So: Cap, not an issue, you’ll run out of prop HP before cap.
Link duration is a little bit of an issue but I think it’s a solvable issue by positioning your link ship at the end of the cold burn and picking up the boost as you whiz by and hit heat.
Okay very good. I was afraid the cap charges wouldn’t last long enough to reach the top speed.
Yes but that is usually always the case, whether you have an oversized prop mod on or not.
Good job!
If I had known earlier that the navy auxiliary core gives more powergrid than the thukker one, I would have been quicker with the fit but the Crusader makes a solid second.
