I’m not so hot about the go NS, because it’s tatically wrong.
You shouldn’t need to fight in your opponents ground. Declaring war on NS corps make them targets while in HS.
I think that’s totally viable, not sure why they need to be protected in HS, in theory they don’t need to be in HS.
Of course I’m not stupid, I know how things work in this game, everybody wants the best for himself and pigeon to others. Ofc NSers need to go HS because they don’t want to be exploited by the high prices practiced on NS market.
That’s the problem, somehow FC always do somebody’s agenda instead of pushing the game forward in a clean direction. Not really my problem, just saying.
If it’s in HS and under CONCORD umbrella, it’s a valid target for war if the conditions apply. I don’t see why we need exceptions.
That’s like asking Special Forces (And some of our members were Special Forces.) to give themselves a frontal lobotomy. It would just be a waste of talent. That said, I still respect the old Goons for coming up with grid-fu. I was always impressed by that. Out thinking null was always the challange.
Null sec players generally won’t be in HS, not on their NS characters anyway as they use alts or courier contracts for HS.
What you do catch by war deccing NS are newbies who joined a group at war for the first time, who haven’t read the instructions and want to fly their Gila from Jita to null despite recommendations to not do that.
War decs vs null groups are used to farm unaware newbies in their spawn with your ‘special forces’.
Our NS market is pretty good! And the NS market nearby even better. The only times I fly to Jita (on an alt) is to import some niche modules we do not happen to have in stock. A bit like how you won’t always find everything in Amarr either.
But I think it’s better to discuss this in another thread as I don’t feel like keeping this one bumped so I’m out here.
This.
I have yet to find a single Highsec wardeccer with a killboard full of fights that would deserve the name. 99% are snacks of newbros in shuttles, frigs, one or the other Hauler or PvE ship of an ape who ignored all warnings given to him. In any case: always outgunning the target hugely, never exposing oneself to a real danger.
If someone wants to pick this form of ‘career’ (totally legit, some people just like collecting cheap kills), it should be at least costly, so not every Joe Shmock jumps on the same train.
Expose a station, pay a billion ISK. And there is your pass to freely blap newbies and dummies.
