I rejoined EVE because I am passionate about asteroid mining. Gankers and fraudsters play EVE because they get a thrill from griefing other players. Getting scammed by corporations and narcissists is a valuable learning experience for learning to protect your assets in real life. Though it’s disappointing that some governments don’t do law enforcement for citizens.
I think the ore market is saturated due to EVE going freemium.
Firstly, CCP manipulates everything to their favor whenever possible. “Studies” and “surveys” are nothing more than “gather info until it supports us” used by charlatans, used car salesmen, politicians, and pharmaceutical companies.
Secondly, the game has been in a nose dive since that long ago declaration of “ganking good” back in 2015. Perhaps a new “study” needs to be done to find out why the first study was bullshite.

No irony. The second study would be just as invalid as the first as long as it was conducted by CCP. If anything, it points out why any data provided by the company is worthless. Outside of their real life financial reports, and those are probably fudged to high heaven too.

Nope. Even third party firms get paid by one side of the argument or the other, so impartiality is impossible. The only truth about “studies” is there is no truth.

And I can sympathy with these players and understand them. But I cannot understand how can someone be excited to finally launch EVE after work to just mine in highsec. That is absolutely horrific idea and I cannot sympathize with such players. Horrific and disgusting.

EvE Is a wargame with a simulated economy, and ‘civilian’ industry is a target.
This video clearly shows the relationship between miners and PvP. They are free to try and profit from conflict. At the same time, the people who PvP are equally free to exterminate hostile miners.
