No, taken seriously when you don’t make wild claims that you can’t support with evidence.
What emotion? I call a spade a spade when i see a spade.
It’s not my job to gather evidence on this. It’s CCPs. My role in this forum is to relate my personal experience and point of view.
You seem to have taken my anecdotal experience personally and are attempting to try it in a court of your own creating.
Personally I don’t care if you think I should be banned or disbelieve what I’ve seen in the game. Plenty of people have seen the bullying that goes on.
I’m done with this conversation as I need to focus on work which starts in a moment. You enjoy having the last word.
When you go making wild claims, you should always expect to have to support them with evidence. Words are the main form of communication we have here, so the words used are important; and if you go making wild claims about specific parts of the community, you’ll hopefully always be asked to provide evidence to support those claims.
Seems a bit emotional to call someone an idiot and woke just because they have a different view then you do. But I would suggest that you saw a fork and called it a spade for some emotional reason, or were you looking in the mirror?
so you get emotional every time you pick up or look at a fork?
meh, thats on you.
I on the other hand have no emotions towards tools.
Well, I have not called you an idiot, nor called you woke. You need to chill, diversity in opinions is fine. I know it upsets you people to have someone be so patient and explain the issues from teh other side of the fence. I know it is hard that your cult like religious feelings are bent out of shape, but you just need to pull in that fear, resentment and anger and relax.
Teehee
Yes, and depending on where you sit on the scale, the ‘answer’ isn’t going to be a good one to someone. Some justifiably so and others ‘I shouldn’t have to PVP in EVE, gosh.’
There’s also another conflict I don’t have a perfect answer for around mid-sec missioning hubs in .7 in particular. To keep this response short, ultimately, the major issue there is the gameplay around missioning is as stale and worn out as so many other ‘gameplay’ styles in Eve, so the best solution would be to significantly re-work how missions work to bring them in line with modern expectations(with provision for keeping them Eve and not insert-generic-mobile-game kind of stuff). If CCP was unable, or unwilling to do that in conjunction with any major re-working of Concord/Police/Crime mechanics, well then, that’d be something else that would have to be considered as well. Something, something, big, complex ecosystems and trying to change/fix them when they’re not working properly. But, you gotta start somewhere.
Forks, no.
Sporks?
What in God’s name is this abomination??

I’ve been in the game 10 months and have never been ganked while mining. On top of that, although a Mining Laser II fitted Venture can cost around 4m ISK…it is entirely possible to create a gaussian laser miner for 1/10th of that cost, which will pay for itself in a single trip to the belts. The gaussian laser mines at about 85% of the Mining laser II…but it is cheap to buy. The corp I am in hands them out for free. In fact I think ganked Procs get replaced for free too. On top of that I also personally hand out considerable ISK to noobs in general who are ganked…yeah I have way more ISK than sense.
Ganking is an essential part of highsec. Not least because it prepares people for the carnage they will encounter in lowsec. People trying to thwart highsec ganking are missing the whole point of Eve…it is supposed to be a tough environment.
Then apparently you’re misunderstanding either his posts or mine.
Please feel free to correct me. Otherwise, I’m left in the dark.
We had the discussion in the other thread. If you didn’t understand it there, I doubt you’re capable of understanding it if I explain it a second time.
And if you call a discussion of raging and self-control in response to provocation as “having a lot in common” with a post about the long-term effects on player population of having an unbalanced predatory element built into the game - simply because both people typed the word “bully” - then I’d say it’s less darkness you’re left in and merely self-imposed ignorance.
What are these effects?
I don’t know where the needless hostility comes into play, I’m just here trying to connect people that are expressing what appears to me to be similar opinions.
I understand your view, in the other thread we made it clear that we view these long-term effects with different lenses and that I disagree with your characterization of what a “bully” is in that context – though I could have been more explicit in saying I am against harassment.
I would draw parallels between your world view and the other guy’s sympathy for “those that lack self-control”. There’s obviously going to be people in that cohort that quit and lead to long-term population effects. The word “bully” specifically doesn’t matter; what I interpreted is your concern about long-term effects of harassment (for our different disagreeing definitions) could be, in the short term, connected to players that have false expectations, or thin skin, or lack of mental fortitude, or bring their RL baggage into the game, or whatever else short-term you’d like to consider.
If you don’t want to ever draw those short-term connections to your long-term ones that’s fine. But no need to be a jerk about it and claim I’m too stupid to understand. I don’t accuse you of anything when you decide not to enlighten me or engage.
I played Monopoly once, and a bully was buying up all the property and demanding that people pay rent. I will never play that game again!
You can’t escape it, it’s institutionalized in every American household.
NO IM TIRED OF THE ABUSE AND GRIEFING
I DONT WANT MONOPOLY IN THIS HOUSE EVER AGAIN
Perhaps I could interest you in a game of “Sorry!”?
