And you will hate the idea the moment a multiboxer with x2 pirate/faction ship of 1 or 2 classes higher enters it and kill both you and the guy you dueled with. Which is happening already if you try suspect bait outside mission pocket and if such mechanic will be generally available it will be happening even more.
I play EVE for almost 5 years and I haven’t seen a fair fight yet. Even what initially looks like a fair fight soon becomes a bait or trap and you will get owned really hard. Hell not even duels are fair. Last time I tried duel, the guy asked me what I fly, then used alt to verify what I am saying to him is true and then coming with 100% counter to that. And I am pretty sure he had that alt covering his back in case he would start to lose.
I’m not the one calling for any nerf to ganking…I think its fine as it is. But if people are gonna suggest ideas, I propose better versions to make them less nerfy.
Personally I think people should just stop whining and play Eve. There’s already loads to do…and people have had it explained to them 56,739 times how to avoid being ganked. Though I guess this thread is aiming for 100,000.

The ‘highsec brawl’ is still just the germ of an idea. It would need some rules and regulations…but none that make it too ‘fair’. At the end of the day it would be entirely optional for people to join in.
I dont really get what kind of outcome you expect from such a “brawl”? And why has it to be in HighSec? If you want to fight other people with the risk involved that others might join in, just to to Hek, fit a frigate and jump into Resbroko (FW Lowsec). Then wait inside a FW-plex. And if you die (probably a lot), get back to Hek and repeat, it’s 2 jumps.

Square targets makes me nostalgic. Would that still work these days? Feels like exhumers are made of tissue paper and regardless of that it wouldn’t be the ship flashing on the belt you’d have to worry about it would be the T3 that warps in to help him out.
It should work, however since the can flipping is not a thing anymore, the only guys who are doing it are veterans with sheer amount of experiences and SP too. They mostly fly hecate, triglav ships or faction/pirate cruisers even Praxis.
You would be stupid to engage against that, although there is always one stupid who does that. And even if they would be flying something less tanky that exhumer could be able to kill, they would most likely get away anyway knowing exhumer/barge can’t move so just burn mwd outside and warp away.
Before it worked better because players weren’t that skilled and this activity was broadly available so noobs were doing it too. Not really a case now.
And players are so scared these days it is unbeliveable. Seems that players with balls like this in video all quit (probably after they found someone it didn’t work at lol) or died. These days you can’t even get anyone to duel you in front of Jita. Tried capsule, shuttle, t1 cruiser, writing to local, sending invites to everyone, ever since they added AIR I barely managed to get 10 duels on my alt(s).

We once bumped 3 tornados of tether , well i say 3 , we got lucky and bumped the anchor , the other two just followed the 1st , they all died in our glorious hail of Justice, the ganker got mad at us and filled local with obscenities but sticks and stones as the saying goes .

Do the trolls understand the difference between a Tornado and a Catalyst in terms of bumping? So foolish to try to score a point and make themselves look even more idiotic. I said Catalysts were virtually impossible to bump off a structure if they were going back to a BM.
A Tornado bumped by me and then blown up, I could hardly say it was impossible if I had done it myself?
