Am I? Go ahead detail the specific nerfs that I have proposed that nerf ganking, you made a statement, back it up. This is the second time I asked you to detail them, but you don’t, I wonder why? Please detail the specific attacks that I am doing against a certain gamestyle. The game style that has already been nerfed into the ground is AG. We cannot rep people who fire on gankers now, so what is the point of doing organised fleets, tell me again that returning it to how it was is nerfing ganking again? Please do, it would take enormous mental gymnastics to work that one back?
And why should ganking be different to all those other play styles that were nerfed by mistake? Just the loudest voices on the forums perhaps?
Please see here where I literally ask you if I have your position right as opposed to accusing you specifically of asking for particular nerfs. There is some mental gymnastics going on here but they aren’t from me buddy.
It’s simple the difference is they were nerfed by mistake. If ganking were nerfed by mistake that would be one thing. If it were nerfed because a group of players cried in the forums for CCP to rig the game in their favour that would be another.
To be clear I would defend the anti ganking playstyle too if someone were crying on the forum for it to be nerfed also. Same if someone were crying for a nerf to solo mining or a nerf to ninja salvaging in a cormorant.
I don’t have to enjoy a playstyle to value that it has been created by us as players which is pretty special. There aren’t too many games that can boast that.
I though Dracula Vladimir hated people saying “so what you are saying is” and variations on it because he hates someone called Cathreine Neuman who used to say it to him.
I told you no, because AG is an emergent game play on the back of ganking which is an emergent game play. The mental gymnastics are all yours by ignoring that fact. My balance items are mainly focussed on AG with the odd one that enables solo players to have more of a chance like the BS MWD on freighters, anyone with a brain will realise that a ganker ready on the gate will still catch it, but one being a bit late to the party might miss it. That with tethering changes would create a more dynamic game.
I saw the gankers get a direct nerf to AG play by using their contacts.
Quite right, but my suggestions are balance on an emergent game play called anti-ganking.
I agree.
That is still a change that I want to see, it is to give more solo play options for a freighter to slip through, but a ganker sitting on the gate will still point it, so what is the issue? That can be taken as a nerf to ganking by some blowhards, but is it really? Honestly, the method they use now with a suicide point will not be nerfed so is that really a nerf? Just a reduction in their time to react when they already have tethering? Don’t forget that this is balance and not a nerf.
I don’t even have Cap skills yet so have never done a rogue analysis beacon. This toon is currently my main line pvp toon and as we are at war it is sat in staging and only undocks in the doctrine ships I’m trained for.
Someone with such a lofty positions should really be backing up their accusations. Your press department must be sleeping on the job.
Yes, my kill boards on this toon alone literally has recent mission runners I hunted and killed in H-PA in venal.
On Thursday night we hunted a Hyperion on one of my less skilled pvp toons across space and I got on the kill despite losing my neuting tackle vexor. The next vexor I managed to get an ONI to engage me on a gate that led to my buddies getting the kill.
In low sec I’ve done faction war and hunted faction warfare players.
I’ve even tried baiting in high sec by hunting MTUs.
