New Eden systems security rating

Not at all. I’m not editing anything. This thread isn’t about ganking and those who can’t believe it can eat my shorts.

I’m sorry to have mentioned CONCORD so much. If you now think the thread is about ganking then I guess it’s my fault. Sorry about that.

But it’s about EVE, it’s about security rating, security rating involves CONCORD not just for ganking but for any type of combat in hisec, for any activity like mining and miners watch for who? Gankers right? A discussion about one thing can bleed into another but it doesn’t mean it is about that other thing.
DING DING DING did the coin drop yet?

Re-read the OP. Ganking is the ONLY thing he mentioned. He didn’t mention mining, ratting, missions, etc… Just ganking, and only three lines into it…

LMAO!
I think it’s too complicated for them. I shouldn’t have started a thread about sec rating. I should have started a thread about playing marbles or toy cars or Ken&Barbie, that would’ve been more on their level.

Really? Let’s see…

Well I Re-read it twice and the SECURITY RATING is the subject of the paragraph. He mentions ganking in passing, not even the subject of a sentence but as an example.
Let’s go further on…

OH! What have we there?! A clear mention that the thread isn’t about ganking! OH WOW yes I see what you mean now. It was Professor Plum, in the living room with the chandelier! You win, lol

It’s worked just fine for 18 years, snowflake. You’ll live…

Kind of like the players that post “Gankers are killing EVE!!!” Ganking has been a thing since day 1, yet here EVE still stands 18 years later…

It’s not about me, idiot. It’s about a discussion on Security Rating.
Repeat after me:
Se-cu-ri-ty Ra-ting. very good!

A star system’s Security Level is a rough measure of how hazardous that particular system is.

Empire space is the name given to the regions which the four main NPC factions hold sovereignty (High Security and Low Security). They do not hold ANY sovereignty in Null Sec, which is why there is no laws in place in null.

Various game mechanics are affected or limited by system security. These include:

  • Asteroid types found in asteroid belts. More lucrative asteroids are generally found in lower-security systems.
  • General difficulty of rat spawns, including belt and gate rats. More difficult rats are generally found in lower-security systems.
  • General difficulty of cosmic anomalies and cosmic signatures. More difficult sites are generally found in lower-security systems.
  • Reward level of missions. Greater LP rewards for the same mission are given by agents in lower-security systems.
  • Specific types of wormholes will only form in specific classes of space.
  • In 0.5 space and below the moons can be mined with refineries.

High security space

Low security space

  • CONCORD no longer responds, however NPC guns on gates and stations will respond to illegal aggression.
  • Player-Owned Starbases do not require Empire Charters to operate.

Null security space

  • PVP aggression does not change player security status.
  • Items flagged with the Banned in Empire Space attribute can now be used, including launching bombs, anchoring bubbles, and firing doomsdays.
  • Sentry guns do not take any actions towards players who aggress other players.

These are several reasons WHY the sec status is NOT obsolete

Well, it was called griefing back then.

That is the proof that people will hear and read the things they only want to hear and understand. No matter what you say or say or do, these idiots will still believe this thread is about ganking and you know why?
Because they can’t wait to belittle another person, they can’t wait to ridicule and harass forum members that really want a discussion about what they find silly or idiotic in the game. These people are just on this forum to insult, insinuate false crap about people and all that in the goal to make themselves feel better about themselves and ganking is the perfect subject for that since it has conotations of frustration and salt.

It’s no wonder the members of CCP don’t want to engage with these people. If I worked for CCP I wouldn’t even open the forum main page.

Yes but ALL that can still be and happen without the security rating. Those numbers aren’t responsible for all of what you mentioned, it’s CCP who decides what is supposed to be where, not the rating itself

And those reasons can live without those stupid numbers since it’s CCP who decides, not the numbers. That’s why the sec rating is obsolete and useless.

IT’S YOUR ■■■■■■■ OPINION… if it was obsolete, CCP would get rid of it… but it’s still here after 18 ■■■■■■■ years so it still must be viable…

I can understand why 99% of CCP employees don’t even come on their employer’s forum. Just reading the responses to any thread would make your eyes roll back into their socket and bleed profusely.

Calm down, miner.

Damn your logic is undeniable. Maybe that’s why they’re pissed. They can’t counter your flawless logic.

Griefers were worse, there was no concord back then. If I thought I could alpha you while just traveling by you and bored because of the long trip…

It was not good to be in the wrong place, wrong time back then anyway.
