New players in eve. Concered About Game stuff

Aiko has 13 trillion ISK worth of destruction and 18,000 kills to her name. That is actual Eve influence on a large scale.

You have 12 kills, 61 losses, and several thousand whiny posts.

I rest my case.

You keep using that word but you’re not using it in the correct context. Then again, all you do is troll the forums with your incessant whining about what your opinion of eve should be to you, vs what eve actually is.

Yeah. In 2009 it didn’t even matter if it was there. I don’t recall it either.

Mostu, think it was the system, had the highest agent quality for Caldari navy.

Also had the gank pests alpha striking the active shield tanks. That be literal and figurative pests. They ran arty alpha blap fit tempests back then. Some going on about how unfair eve is. They’ve cleaned the place actually. Long ago…it was possible to have battleships viable for this.

Tengu pilots wanted shiny and expensive modules. Arty pests blapped the shiny tengus out dps’ing rep cycles. same for bs’s like raven if unlucky.

I was in ye old passive drake then for the 2009 start to eve. Slow mission runner but low on the gank targets. They knew the loot fairy would drop lots of SPR and extenders. Not shiny ones lol.

How do you figure? A barge is like 80mil fit, and people still gank them. How much should an Exhumer cost in comparison?

You just said there’d be ā€œpractically noā€ griefing… now there will be more? Which is it?

From my understanding, it seems to be both. The ā€œProfessional Gankerā€, arbitrarily defined as someone who only ganks a profitable target, will have more targets because of cheaper ships, and ā€˜griefers’ will have fewer targets because the lower value of those targets will make them less grief inducing, or something like that.

It’s a case of trying to take one’s own bias and values and trying to treat them as universal, or should be universal by some divine providence.

People ganking in Highsec are, more often than not, doing so to project power and influence. Obey, or risk destruction. They are able to do so even though CONCORD deletes their ships afterward. Trying to claim, control, or influence space, even High Security space is fundamental to Eve.

Why do gankers blow up empty targets? Because the freighters haven’t complied with their authority and they’re able to punish the pilot for that failure to comply. You can try to thumb your nose at them and get away with it. Lots of people manage to get their ships and freight where it needs to go in spite of them, but if someone is strutting around like a peacock in front of their nose, they should expect to get shot whether they’re a profitable kill or not. It’s nothing personal. It’s a logical and reasonable action to take to get people to recognize the authority of an individual or group.

I am sure there are some bad actors who do these same things to inflict grief, but I have never met them. All people who attempted to kill me were at a minimum professional even though they were hostile and threatening. Most were pleasant to talk to, though would still kill me given half a chance. Had they truly wished to inflict grief as their primary objective, I think they would have behaved much differently.

Indeed, the one thing that continually gets missed is that a large portion of ganking is of the ā€˜this is our territory’ type of thing. When I have ganked for my corp, we even tell the gank targets that. They can avoid being ganked again by joining the corp. Far from being ā€˜griefing’, this is a political thing. A miner is for us or they are against us. Other gankers have their ā€˜permits’…which amount to the same ’ you are mining in our territory’ sort of thing.

Much of ganking being territorial is the one thing that invariably gets missed in all the gank threads.

Good tips and info in here.

Totally agree on all of your points. making them cheaper would be a good idea.

You must be the managers pet in workplace , such a lapdog move, its a gringe to see it allday long in the forums :).

Aiko is the forum muscle you all call for rescue when you want the meathead to teach a lesson to the nerd , MEGA GRINGE.

Get youre own witty remarks and zkills, don’t hide in other peoples shadow.

You are spot on here in everything you say.

Ooh, you just got called out, son.

Whacha gon’ do ā€˜bout the anonymous forum alt talkin’ ā– ā– ā– ā–  to ya?

Lol. Let me see now. Across my chars I have 530 kills and 20 losses…and I’m being called out by someone who has…oh…nothing at all.

Your 530 niche PK griefs don’t count, because they aren’t REAL PvP.

They are proof of REAL Undocking…rather than FORUM Undocking.

The other posters were just better than you. They are REAL community members, so you couldn’t win any forum arguments against them.

Well, this has been amusing, but I’m going back to playing Bonerstorm. Heh…:smirk:

You need to find archer and bring him back. I know you miss him

He found a girl, we’ll never see him again.

That’s really quite amusing coming from some forum warrior who has zero killboard or any evidence that they have ever even undocked in the entire 6 years they have been in Eve. And you seek to lecture someone who’s been in on 1.5 trillion ISK worth of kills in a third of that time.

What you could teach me about PvP would make zero look a huge number.

Yeah , you can’t see my stuff

Hehe it brings a smile to my face.

Now go pad them stats with your F1 gang ā€œpirateā€.

But as a serious note you should try some solo PvP i heard it gets yar heart racing ! No safety nets, no mommy or daddy, just you and a PVE’r tanking a room of NPC’s and boss in PVE fit.
