You see how griefers are not comitted to the game? They just want people to play single player games

A game that tries to make everyone happy would be a terrible game. You need to find a game that matches your personality, and I suggest Minecraft, Farmville, Euro Train Simulator, and (if you want something a little more complex) you could try Sim City (but there are some monsters and natural disasters which you might feel are a little griefy).

You cant be serious

Yes, I’m quite serious.

Every game should try to make everyone happy. that is the fundamental point in playing a game. You want some kind of happiness or satisfaction. Doesent mean everyone will be happy. But you should try. And this is where rules come in, specficaly designs that prevent greifing because no-one likes it. End of discussion.

I enjoy it.

If someone is griefing i would ban them and adapt the game design so it becomes harder to do. But CCP probably just think its funny to allow people to grief, they think it adds value. They are either stupid or as depraved as the griefers. I hope for their own sake they will wake up soon.

PvP in highsec isn’t griefing. Nerfs to Highsec aggression are a contributing factor to my not wanting to play the game anymore, and did not make me ‘happy’. I don’t initiate PvP. I never attack, I only defend or retaliate if aggressed, so the reason I dislike these nerfs isn’t because it infringes on my play style. It’s because it makes the game too easy, or too tedious. Tedious enough that people suggest they need a mini game in mining to occupy them.

Highsec aggressors are the mini game, or were. While you’re mining or freighting or whatever, you use your extra attention to look out for and avoid trouble. Some ships are lost, some ore doesn’t get mined, some cargo has to wait for another day before it gets shipped out. Coping with or mitigating these problems are what keep the mind occupied so it doesn’t get bored.

Eve wasn’t meant to be a game where you can turn your brain off and just follow a set of steps in a FAQ somewhere and succeed because no set of steps accounts for the entire range of human behavior and in this MMORPG, humans are your true enemies (and sometimes allies). Eve is a game for people who like the mental stimulation that comes from coping with this fact, and there’s nothing wrong with suggesting someone play a game they would like if they don’t like having to think about how other players might get the jump on them if they’re not careful.

If its just PVP then it wont hurt to significantly lower the cost to produce Exhumers, Freighters and what not. Killing them will still just be PVP

Are you a poor?

No

Ok then, you can afford the cost.

Thats how you become poor

If you can’t afford an exhumer, you are a poor.

By significantly lowering the cost on freighters and exhumers etc. there will be practically no griefing of them. More people might start flying them, take bigger risks, more targets for the proffesional gankers. Less targets for the griefers. Win win. But will never happen. CCP is too stubborn to fix anything to their own detriment.

I hear people who lose freighters complain a lot about losing freighters, but I don’t really hear of people having problems with logistics, or hear reports that freighters are not common enough or not usable or prohibitively expensive.

You don’t need an Exhumer to mine. A barge works just fine. If you want to relax, fly a cheap ass barge and when it blows up collect the insurance and go get another out of storage. Can’t afford a freighter? Have PushX or Red Frog or whomever operates the shipping business today move your stuff for you for a reasonable fee. If they blow up transporting your goods, collect the collateral. I’ve never had a delivery service lose one of my shipments, though.

People say they want aspirational goals, so let Freighters and Exhumers be that. Aspire to be clever or powerful enough to employ these icons of industry in the future instead of having them given and then being unhappy there’s nowhere to go from there.

Why are you CCPsplaining. And why are you seemingly the only one who cant figure out why exhumers and empty freighters get griefed?

That’s more like the people who hate miners and mining wanting to make it as difficult as possible for those that do.

I find it obvious what and where the pain points are.

I think the problem is that they are at odds with the forum influencers and the devs themselves dont play the game at all.

For example influencers will respond to most ideas and issues with some sort of response explaining how everything is fine. Thats how they get their likes. A serious developer should know better not to be influenced by this tho.
