Hi all liking the new ships but i think CCP missed an opportunity to help the dedicated courier
new ships are great for infrastructure and defending ones self,
but you cannot fit delivery parcels in the infrastructure hold so you are limited to fleet hanger of 50k
please can we have extra training skills to we can expand the fleet hangers to 100-150 km3 at a cost
or
Can we have a 44 ton truck that sits between DTS - and freighter
Specs
Fleet hanger expands to to 100-150k m3 with skills
Infrastructure hanger limited to 30k m3 cannot expand
small cargo to 30km3
semi -fast and quick align time with skills
able to defend itself
manoeuvrable to a degree
or a truck with a single cargo hold that can carry everything based on 100km3 - 200km3
looking at ships that are in the fleets there no middle ground between the DST and freighters
t2 max 63km3
standard Freighters 500km to 1 mill m3
avalanche = 2m - 3mill with level 5
Where are the 44 tonners based on 100km3 to 200km3
be happy with the ships you have … but youre not able to be happy ! you always want MORE ! if CCP fulfil your wishes then you come up with the next wish like more X and more Y and half the price of an ibis …
if you want to haul more then 50k or 62,5k as one package then juszt use a freighter !
I would think that finding multiple contracts on the same route to fill your freighter for better ISK per jump is one of the fun challenges of being a courier?
And if no one else needs to move goods that direction and the one person who does isn’t paying enough for your freighter to fly half-filled, can you not move some other goods that are available on the market cheaper at your current location than at the destination?
Get a buddy or an alt to web you into warp. Hit a freighter with a couple Dominion Stasis Webs and your align time is however long it takes them to lock you. They only have to wait out the 60s aggression timer to jump after you, which in my experience is just enough time for my alt’s Hyena to get to the next gate anyway.
If you’ve ever seen a freighter land on a gate or station sideways, this is how they did it. The system had them enter warp before the graphics caught up with the align. You’ll be drifting freighters like a pro in no time with a little practice.
Edit: I’ll also not that this is much, much easier in highsec than in nullsec. Gate rats in nullsec make this sketchy sometimes for the webbing frigate.
