New to ganking - thanks for everyone's cooperation

ill have to write it again… silly you are slower than i thought… I wonder how many times it will take for you to comprehend that you are irrelevant.

Excuse me, I shower and dress really nice. See my PLEX purchased garments?

You got the unpermitted part right. Maybe I should join @Cilla_Cybin’s mining belt in Uedama just to make you and Her Nibs unhappy.

Why not?

Indeed…then we can have a pic with 2 Ventures in it…and then 4…8…16…etc.

That is how resistance movements go. And no amount of ‘you are irrelevant’ can stop the tide.

Copying the beginnings of the Goons with their frigate fleets?

I dunno, but I do know that every battle starts with the first shot…and that shot has been fired. Give it a year or so, and we’ll see who is ‘irrelevant’.

…and then there were 32 ventures…

So you are proud, that you got a defenseless pod. Congratulations…

@Mr_Serious >> You have absolutely no rights to deny or permit mining. You are not CCP. There is no game mechanics that say that you are deployed by CCP or Concord.

A defenceless pod of someone who ( if you look at the killboard ) had mercilessly podded someone else just a minute earlier. Instant karma !

Yes…I am proud. Deal with it.

[/quote] OK I understand… in this case excuse my sarcastic remark and congratulations from my heart-

Indeed ! On a thread on which I get accused of being delusory…we have the deluded 'Praise Aiko ! ’ accolytes who think their silly mining permits actually mean anything. Now that is delusory.

This game isn’t going to be around in a year.

Inside info or speculation?

The game has been dying since 2005, or is that miners been dying since 2005? I dunno, but they sure whine alot.

If Eve online dies, it will be because there’s too many vets harking on about how they got an arrow in the knee at the Battle Of Caldari Prime. It all becomes self fulfilling, when there’s too many people with a 'glory days ’ attitude. And that attitude arises mainly because it is a natural tendency for people to want ‘the best’ to have been during their time span. No vet wants to imagine that they’ve spent 15 years in the game and all those whiny noobs are gonna get to see the best. So…like the ‘monsters from the ID’ of Forbidden Planet…the glorious past tramples everything before it…including the entire game itself.

The game needs to replace all the ‘past was glorious’ rhetoric with ‘the future will be glorious’. And that is why it needs more crazy noobs with crazy visions.

I don’t think this is true at all. I for one am happy when new players make progress, and have advocated for new players to start with like 10-20 million SP. I’ve also done most of my playing on rookie characters in recent times. And many of my peers feel the same way.

I think that the reason why some new(er) players think that vets don’t want them to reach the same level because they want to “maintain their eliteness” or whatever is because that’s actually the attitude they’re getting from their gutter-trash high-sec carebear corporation CEOs and directors. But those people aren’t actually vets; they just pretend that they are. True vets think about passing on the torch, instead of thinking about accumulating more torches.

Like I said earlier, I would recruit you, but you’d have to inject a character to some minimum level of requirement. Unfortunately, crap-fit Condors and Ventures just aren’t going to work for this. Then you’d go from getting one AFK pod kill in 6 months to 20 ship kills a day, and you’d finally “get” it. Many of my friends went through the same sort of process after I met them in EVE. Many didn’t believe they would until they did.

I’m not bothered about the ‘6 months’ ( half of which was wasted mining anyway )…as the pace of learning and skills has accelerated dramatically in weeks. I couldn’t help but notice that the guy I podded had 50 or so kills and 800 losses…and that’s not a stat I want, so I’d far rather take my time and know that I am up to it. Slow progress…but certain progress. That’s my way.

I do already ‘get it’…but I just don’t see the point in going out and wasting ships on battles I know I will not win. I’d rather pick my fights carefully. Podding someone is insignificant, yes, but at least I’ve got past that stage where people could say ’ you haven’t done a single thing’. And it is just the start…and we all have to start somewhere.

I still don’t understand what your beef is with AO. I don’t feel ‘used’ in any way…in fact, apart from being always ready to defend corp HQ I do pretty much what I like. I make donations willingly, nobody forces me to. The corp knows about my alt, who is regularly there too. Plus I get the benefit of having a pretty secure base from which to travel down to Uedama for some fun.
