Whatever is needed to compute hashes quickly
Since BTC is still new, and graphics cards where once used to mine BTC, what technology do you think was the basis for what we know as ASIC for btc mining?
Again, your question makes no sense. A lot of technologies are used.
So I answer : that’s irrelevant.
And no, there is no GPU inside the BTC ASIC. Otherwise it would be only worse than GPU.
Yes, the difficulty level of BTC gets higher as more coins are rewarded, It takes more hashing power to get the reward.
No, just a chip that has as many cores as a GPU and can perform exactly the same function as a GPU only faster because there’s an array of them. of course not.
An ASIC designed specifically for hashing is superior to a processor designed for other operations. At the very least, you’re not wasting silicon on unneeded functionality.
You are wrong, again.
BTC ASIC can’t perform the same things as GPU. Otherwise they would just be worse GPUs.
When will you stop claiming that “general purpose” is the same as “application specific” ?
Seriously, you are full of ■■■■. You have no idea what you are talking about. You are not intellectually able to understand when you are getting scammed or not.
You don’t know what a GPU is. You don’t know what a GPGPU is. You don’t know what an ASIC is. Yet you claim they are the same.
You are a pathetic idiot. I would not care if you were not trying to scam people.
Incorrect, I can still mine BTC directly with GPU’s, It just wont be profitable. but the GPU’s will still hash on BTC.
So a GPU can do the exact same functions as a BTC ASIC miner just a lot slower. this is fact.
Learn to read.
I know you’re not interested in facts, but I posted a fact for you.
You are saying ■■■■.
Also you are wrong.
No I am 100% correct, a GPU can mine BTC (just not profitably).
No you are wrong, not all GPUs are Turing-complete.
Again a “fact” that is more stupidity.
You infact have no clue. when BTC was first launched the difficulty was very low. so one could mine 100s of them on a laptop at first.
The difficulty is much higher now so more processing power is needed, this is the ONLY thing that has changed the difficulty going higher. So factually I am correct. I can still mine BTC with a GPU but will only earn a very minor amount.
Yeah, dodge the point with personal attacks.
There was GPUs that were not turing complete. Your “fact” is actually wrong.
This does not imply that
Which is wrong.
Logic101
How would you know, you think BTC is a scam so explain what has given you the impression it is impossible to mine BTC with a GPU?
You claim things that are wrong.
Also you are making a strawman, again. I did not say that.
Just as you started with a false quote and I answered L2R.
You claimed a GPU can’t perform the same thing as an ASIC right?
unrelated. State your point or STFU.
ASIC and GPU are not the same things. They are built with different goals in mind, and different approaches. GPGPU especially are the OPPOSITE of ASIC.
You’re even trying to ignore your poorly researched claims.
