As for thread’s subject. Yeah, it feels like, eh, very questionable decision considering how many people lost job during Corona stuff etc. etc. But, if CCP decides that it’s better to “sell to less people for more price” than “to more people for less price”, it’s their decision… Like SquareEnix’s selling Octopath Traveller for price 2.5 more than other AAA games, ha! Only time will tell, if this decision will be a gain or loss. And yeah, yeah, it’s not “developer’s responsibility” that this or that country’s currency is dropping, but overall regional pricing thing proved themselve to be a good balance, otherwise many publishers/devs would have not been doing it.

Ignorance of some posters here in regards to subject of regional pricing is… pretty much expected. Educate yourself or gain some understanding skills instead of mocking people, come on. Unless you’re always roleplaying chaotic evil here * laughs silently *.
I can understand, though, negativity to the fact that Russia was getting adjusted price but Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia etc. etc. were not. I’ve no idea why and how it was like that.

Good.
Russia was the ONLY country with localized price so far where the game sub and PLEX was available for the half price compared to rest of the world. People in poorer countries still had to pay the western price (look around at your neighbors: Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Mongolia for example. Look further too, at Brazil, if you want bigger markets without localized prices). These have lower average income than Russia, yet they paid same as US players for subscription.
Deal with it and move on.
