SiSi is closed down for 24/7 public access. It gets opened occasionally for public mass tests.
Keep an eye for Dev Blogs announcing scheduled playtests, like this one:

and few others before that.

Yeah as they have closed it down apart from mass testing that is a deal breaker for me i know some don’t care but eve is an expensive game and for them to take that out of it all it means is i will not bother with omega account while i can t use the test server.

The amount people pay for the game each month i think ccp have got a check tacking this away it added extra to the game were you can be created and test fits and help newer player get up to speed with the game all ccp are doing is alienating new players. I myself will just let my accounts go back to alpha now people should boycot the omaga till they change it back.

That’s not what the server was for
It might not have been what the server first started out being used for but it got a lot of adoption from the community that found great uses for it also helping newer player stay because it made it easier for them to try thing s out. Now that’s not a bad thing in my book. Also i have played with couple people in the past that used it to safely test and set up certain keyboard and voice commands for there difficulty/disability in a safe environment again this was not the servers purpose to begin with but i and a lot would agree this is a good add on to use for situation like this.
