You did that after login? Maybe then logout and the back -in again. Otherwise no idea

Made account (alt), play for a while and went to forum. Maybe database delay.

Avatars update only on login, so if the avatar wasn’t ready on image server you ended up with that picture.
Try relogging into the forums and you should stop being a silhouette.
