No incentive to buy injectors after 50 mill SP

-Learning skills to 5, adv learning skills to 4

checkmate

Learning skills were cancer and benefitted absolutely noone. It was a horrible game mechanic that never should have been there.

the DR on injectors is painful once above 80mil sp… there is no point to even purchase.

im at 100mil sp and was testing the difference between a large skill injector vs a small injector on one of several lvl 5 skills and the end result was…

its better to wait for a ccp server break and get free sp instead of wasting isk… it tickled my skill que to the point of only dropping an hour… I laughed about it

Did you sterilize that?

Hate to see you get Space Herpes.

Optimal approach for injector efficiency is to wait until you’re rolling an alt for something.

Start by injecting about 10 million SP, then start your training. Save the 10 million SP for skills that aren’t on optimal attribute skills. For example I generally always start with Int/Mem to get support skills up.

Biggest problem there though, is sometimes there are pre-reqs that are outside of those optimals. For example, Tactical Logistics Reconfig. It requires Logi Cruiser 5, which of course is will/percept.

So, train up the Int/Mem skills, then when it’s time to train up logi cruiser 5 prior to your taclog, you just inject all of logi cruiser.

Saves you a remap, and like 500 days worth of training lol.

Other alternative I guess would be to train either logi cruiser or tactical logistics on sub-optimal attribute maps. But I’m not nearly that patient.

Overall, the goal isn’t to help high SP players get more SP. It’s to help low SP players catch up to high SP players, so taht they can start flying the “fun” doctrines faster.

Ok I give up, where is that from?

You do realize those hashtags were entirely satire of the typical bitter vet right? The rest however was very serious. instant gratification destroys games by undermining any sense of progression - and usually balance right along side. All it does is rush people on to the next game once they pay to obtain their goals before they can make any connections in game to make them want to stick around.

That comment btw isn’t solely related to EVE. Ask any developer and they’ll tell you exactly the same thing. Good for profit, horrible for longevity and keeping people interested past their first few weeks.
