Invasion Chapter 2

Defenders and offenders of New Eden, the second chapter in the EVE Online - Invasion expansion is now live, and free to download for all players!

With Invasion Chapter 2 comes the introduction of a new Triglavian combat experience, one where you will have to choose between siding with the Empires or the Triglavian Collective in engagements, allowing for two paths through the encounters!

The awesome new Triglavian Dreadnought - the Zirnitra - also makes its bow in this new chapter. This new ship will prove a challenging adversary for Capsuleers, but also a desirable prize for those that can pilot it. There will also be new skills required for piloting the Dreadnought, as well as the monstrous new Ultratidal Entropic Disintegrator guns and new ammo for it.

There are updates to the Loyalty Point Store, meaning that you can now get an all new Mimesis Implant set in both mid and low-grade versions, giving a maximum damage multiplier bonus to Triglavian weapons for even more raw firepower from these already formidable weapons. There are also 16 new SKINs in the Firestorm line available!

This new chapter in the Invasion expansion also brings with it other new features too, including Shareable Bookmarks. This new addition allows Capsuleers to share specific locations in New Eden with alliance members and anyone else they choose, with control over access and duration.

Power to the Matari fleet! Good news for fans of the Stabber Fleet Issue Cruiser and Tempest Fleet Issue Battleship, they are getting extra damage bonuses to their rate of fire. Medium Autocannons are also getting an upgrade across the board.

The Typhoon and Bellicose will be enjoying explosion velocity improvements, and the Muninn will be taken down a notch after a long period of fleet domination.

Only 1 single entry in the right click menu to access all bookmarks is utter garbage.

We need to be able to change a personal folder to shared

Also why can we only have 3 online shared folders? Seems very, very low. Even for EVE (looks at max corp bulletins)

EDIT: Also, opened location folder windows should auto-refresh - it seems to only refresh when we open the People & Places window

EDIT: Why are sub-folders not indented under their parent folder in right-click > Locations?

EDIT: Add the ability to copy/paste locations between folders

Also, this. This is… bad. Please show the folders in the top-level of the right-click menu.

So, are we going to get some lore or world news or something else to tell us what “siding with triglavians” is supposed to mean in the EVE world, beyond pewpew and phat l00ts?

Personal folders cannot be changed to shared but you can create a shared folder and copy bookmarks across by shift dragging.

This increases the shared bookmark limit from 500 to 1500 when only considering online folders (and much more if you include offline folders)

Thanks for the feedback, we’ll discuss these suggestions!

We understand this is a disruption but it was done to make the menu cleaner and more consistent for all options. If you wish to access the locations directly we’ve added a new shortcut that you can assign, called “Open Location Menu” (Esc Menu → Shortcuts → Combat → Open Location Menu).

I hope this helps, thanks again for the feedback!

The menu may be cleaner, but this is still a really poor choice - and using a shortcut adds two new steps. We have to hold the shortcut, and then click in space…
You’ve changed something people have relied upon for years and have grown dependant on for safe travel - not only that, but adding another sub-menu means we have to make sure our screen is large enough for all these menus to expand in one direction, or jump left and right as they expand.

A good solution would be to allow us to “Pin” folders to the right-click menu.

I still don’t see why only 3 folders. The # of bookmarks is irrelevant here.

Thank you - this should probably be added to the right-click menu, or something.

Hi CCP,

I have to agree that you have messed up the locations right click menu in space.

Now when you want to warp to a bookmark you have to rightclick, locations, personal locations.

Also for new characters comming into a corp the corp hangar is missing in the neocom menu and is impossible to get it in your neocom.

For old characters who been in a corp for long time this shortcut to corp hangar is still there, please return that aswell.

The game starting to be lesser and lesser to be fun playing.

Well the number of total bookmarks and the number of folders are both very relevant when it comes to server performance. Within each folder however you can have a near infinite number of sub-folders. I’m not sure exactly what your use-case is so I’m unsure if this meets your requirements

When you open up a bookmark group as a window, there’s now an irritatingly wide empty space on the left of the bookmark labels.

Well I’m not suggesting an unlimited number of online folders - but 3 severely limits organizational ability, considering sub-folders can only go 1-level down

All in all, I’m personally very happy with the new bookmark system - I really hope contact lists get the same treatment ;D

I understand. What we are offering now is three times better than what you had 3 hours ago, but sadly due to performance concerns we couldn’t increase the benefits even further. Hopefully one day we’ll be able to beat this!

Good point, thanks for the feedback!

Hah. Can’t argue with that.

Didn’t mean to come across as another ungrateful user - the improvements are very much appreciated

So. Much. This.

Players: We want bookmarks to be more accessible in the UI.
Team F***-O: Oh, great, here’s an extra popup menu you gotta hit to go there, we bet you’re gonna love this.

This is an atrocity of UI design.

I think you can drag them like before.

Me and my 7582 bookmarks stored in 8 folders are crying…
