November Release: Invasion Chapter 2 - General Feedback

You don’t really even pick a team. You pick which side to fight on in each instance, separately. You can fight for trigs in this site, and then go to the other site, and fight for the Amarr Navy (*), and there’s no consequence for the choice other than it changes which loot table your rewards come from.

The whole “pick a side in an epic battle” that this update was sold on is at least so far just flavor-text, not actual gameplay.

(*) or whatever local NPC, it does not matter unless you are an established loyalist roleplayer, they all act pretty much the same anyway

Can you please explain why you nerf angel ships, and especially the dramiel, since frigs never had a warp speed boost?
The warp speed is what made those ships special, and nerfing their bonus that much is over the top. You could at least have waited with a nerf for a while to see how they would be affected by the general warp speed boost.

Personally the I like the new system. However accessing extra menus when speed is of the essence is a drag.

So on the subject of drags, can we not add a warp to [location] on the radial menu? There are segments of if that are not used and it would provide the best of both worlds.

Simply nominate a bookmark folder to be accessed by the new function, pop your safes in that particular folder and then with a click and a sweep of the hand you’d be away.

So what else was in the patch today besides “Break the P&P menu”?

Hello, where is the invasion 2.0?

I haven’t heard anything about it yet. It doesn’t seem to be that big and great, does it?

Where is the destruction, where is the announced challenge? Is it still coming?

Well, location windows are now refreshed properly - when entering a new system, etc. VERY helpful

So is it just me or do some corp members have to manually connect to the shared folder, while others were automatically connected with the migration…?

I AM NOT JUST GOING TO WRITE THIS ONCE:

WHEN I OPEN MY PEOPLES & PLACES
ALL THE BOOKMARK FOLDERS ARE EXPANDED!

I CAN NOT SIMPLY FIND THE ONE I NEED!
I NEED TO CLOSE EACH ONE, BECAUSE SCROLLING IS WORSE!
SCROLLING DOES NOT MAKE IT EASILY FINDABLE!

EVEN WORSE WORSE, I NEED TO DOUBLECLICK EACH ONE TO CLOSE THEM, BECAUSE APPARENTLY THEY’RE BUGGED! THE ICON SHOWS THEM AS COLLAPSED, WHILE THEY ARE OPEN! THEIR STATE IS APPARENTLY “COLLAPSED”, YET THE CONTENT IS SHOWING!

IF THIS ISN’T FIXED SOON,
I WILL KILL CAPSULEERS ALL OVER THE PLACE
AND I WILL TELL THEM YOU’VE SENT ME!

It’s been available since Wednesday downtime, so just over 48 hours. I haven’t personally been able to try it yet as I’d been stuck in a wormhole until today, but… I know of many who have done it, there’s video on youtube, in fact:

Probably depends on corp roles (whether you had the communications officer role or whatever it’s called exactly to be able to add/remove/edit corp bookmarks from before the patch day update).

I’ll say it again here as I noticed too late that I was in the Mac feedback, but (self-quoting):

“Love the increase from 13000 to 15000 personal bookmarks… hate the new “5 folders online” limit and “3000 bookmarks per folder” limit… meaning all our old main personal “folders”, if above 3000, can’t be used until you offload enough into other folders now… subfolder counts count against folder limits, etc. etc. ugh.”

The corp bookmarks change doesn’t affect me as much and I’m generally more positive on it (love the “expire this bookmark in 3 hours, 2 days, never” options, for one thing… great for saving temp WH bookmarks, static WH bookmarks, and then every other type of bookmark!)… however, I’m not a CEO or director atm, and they have to deal with new ACL/access list type hassles, I’ve heard it’s a bit confusing to get everything working properly (and get all the out-of-corp alts able to do (almost) as much as the corp toons can when it comes to bookmarking)!

Including yourself, no doubt. Whining about the whiners (and yes, someone will come around to whine about people whining about the whiners whining about whiners)… but hell, I’m doing a bit of whining about the bookmark system (personal side of it, at least) already, so… mwahaha! DOUBLE JEOPARDY RULE!

Can always run the Trig Invasions in lowsec to avoid the concord threat?

Yeah… I can only imagine how much of a pain this is gonna be for CEOs/directors dealing with this, including my own. I’m having a hard enough time over my 3 main accounts with the 5 personal bookmark folder limitation… freakin’ offlining and onlining left and right. Corps being limited to only 3 folders instead of 5? My god, the PITA status… off the charts!

That’s an interesting thought. I’m so used to all my toons having their own copies of all the important instaundocks and docks that it hadn’t even occurred to me to use the new system to share… I’m worried they’ll tweak something and that will get ruined/nerfed so… I ain’t giving up my old (now-redundant) system just yet.

As for the P&P window… yes, I too sort it by jumps usually (sometimes by date or by A-Z), but… I don’t leave it open all the time, I tend to navigate by right click for bookmarks or else in space… so the extra layers of right click menu hell this update has added is kinda… lame.

We know what the Trigs believe. They believe that we all live in “the struggle” and we must fight and fight and fight in the “proving grounds” (the abyss)… and now they’re here in k-space to keep testing/proving themselves and us.

I sure wish we could fight with the Trigs against the Sansha and/or the Drifters as the lore all seemed to be pointing towards for the past year or so since of fighting against the empire(s), though. What an unwelcome twist.

Hm. Thanks for the info. I watched the aforelinked ARC youtube vid of the new site, but if they mentioned that during it I missed it while skimming a bit. Yeah, until there’s a way to fight with the trigs against sansha/drifters as I just said, fighting with the empires against the Trigs is just… what 90% of people are gonna choose even if there’s no real issue either direction. CCP COULD always add standings penalties later on, yanno.

I don’t believe the Cynabal cruiser ever got a boost either… so both the Dram and the Cynabal have both been punished in a very strange manner. It’s understandable that CCP wanted to not have the Machariel be out of control after the boosts to BS/BC warp speeds… but to nerf the other ones? Yeah, pretty weird.

Also, if no one noticed: the Nestor used to be faster than all other t1/navy/pirate battleships besides the Mach… now it’s the same speed as all the t1 BSes after the buff. As in, it got boosted up a bit, but not as much as all the other BSes. Not sure if that was intentional or not on CCP’s part, but after this Mach/Cyna/Dram warp speed nerf, I’m gonna assume it was intentional now. Poor Nestor pilots.

Yep. I used to have all my instadock and instaundock bookmarks in my main bookmarks (root) folder and not in a subfolder because I wanted to be able to navigate by them ASAP via right click menu, but now that all personal, shared, corp, etc. bookmarks require 1 or 2 extra right click menu tiers of selection, there’s no point! now my instas will be in a separate folder, because it’s already basically been done without my say-so, so… oh well.

Could we move offline folders into the top-level Shared Folders, and just have them grayed out like they are to distinguish them? The amount of navigating through folders with this system is insane.

Also… colored folder names?

I really hate Abyss space. However, whoever came up with the new design and animation of Abyssal traces really should start over. This animation looks terrible, low quality, low effort compared to the old version.
