I wish I could downvote this comment lol…
A big change, and only about a week from announcement to deploy, despite the bad feedback… Such a shame.
Not immune at all.
Heavy Interdiction Cruisers
Main article: Heavy Interdiction Cruisers
The role of Heavy Interdiction Cruisers (‘HICs’ or ‘hictors’) is the heaviest tackle possible. They are more heavily shielded and armored than any other cruisers (short of certain rare Strategic Cruiser configurations), and they are capable of fitting the Warp Disruption Field Generator, a module which can either project an Interdiction Field around the ship or be focused into an “infinity point”, a single-target warp disruptor or scrambler that no number of Warp Core Stabilizers can resist. Their DPS is extremely low, but DPS is generally unnecessary for them to perform their role.
In Wormhole Space, HICs can also use the unique Zero-Point Mass Entangler module to nearly immobilize themselves but reduce their mass to that of a shuttle, for use in rolling Wormholes.
Devoter: Armor tank, and a better one than the Phobos, but 1 less midslot, which is significant in High and Lowsec where HICs usually fit sensor boosters to help them catch fast targets.
Onyx: Shield tank. Lower tank and speed than the Broadsword, but a lot more CPU, letting it fit a probe launcher. Additionally, in empire where HICs usually fit sensor boosters, it has a very hard time properly plugging its EM resist hole.
Phobos: Armor tank. The Devoter tanks better, but the Phobos has an extra midslot, making it better at catching fast targets in Empire with an extra sensor booster.
Broadsword: Shield tank. Better speed and resists than the Onyx, at the price of CPU for utility mods.
How long have you played this game, there was a time where interdiction nullifcation did not exist and the game was amazing back then.
Yes there needs to be a balance but these changes are no where near as bad as you think they are give it 2 months feel it out then come back and chat about it CCP will be keeping a close eye on all this obviously.
But the super loud 0.05% saying they will cancel their their subscriptions are just trying to bully CCP.
Brisc do you have any comment on the travesty that has occurred to the luxury yachts, I honestly don’t know how I am ever going to recover from this great loss!
As of now, none. Except maybe to allow a massive amount of m3 as a prize for campers who will kill it with far more ease than they used to be able to. DST’s are no longer viable outside of high sec, or as an occasional hauler in a very secure null area. They can’t warp cloaked, they have a slow align/warp time, even bursting MWD, and now a cap of -4 to WC scramble strength, which means, in practical terms, any two-man gang of window lickers sitting on a gate will be able to kill it. No skill needed, but hey, more KM’s, right?
CCP just turned a 400-500 mil ISK hull into a high-sec hauler and have further bottlenecked indy supply chain. Sell it now before everyone realizes how worthless they just became.
Why people keep spuring this nonsense ?
Cloak/MWD is so ■■■■■■■ weak almost USELESS.
They just need to leave a bunch of trash around the gate or have a couple of fast ships or even velator with MWD to decloak you.
They now just need some instant lock and BOOM your death
Okay bud, you keep beating that straw man. When you’re ready to talk to me, and respond to what I’ve actually said, let me know, and I’ll give you my time again. But this thread is in slow mode so it’s really not worth my time to engage with someone who’s gonna derp on me.
Sorry but this is patently false and wrong. I can’t even count the number of camps I’ve completely moonwalked past with MWD/cloak, even when they had interceptors trying to decloak me.
People keep “spuring” (??) this nonsense because it’s true. MWD/cloak is extremely strong and makes you nearly immune to most camps. Just because “it’s not literally perfect!” is not a valid or strong refutation of this point.
That only happens when big block nulsec bros get their tiny epeens hurt.
a disgusting change. It seems that the CCP does not understand its mechanics. I really want to escape…
Where can I put it here I don’t like it?
I mean let’s be honest CCP rarely gives two ■■■■ about player feedback… but that is ok since I haven’t paid for subs since 2015…
In and out since 2010. I would agree with you that the game would benefit from having no interdiction at all, or confining it to ship launched or ship fitted modules only. Lowsec is actually where all the fun is, not null. The cat and mouse games you get in lowsec are exhilarating. I love going there. I said in the test thread, and I say it here again: CCP needs to focus on what it got right in lowsec, instead of doubling down on what it got wrong in null.
I’ll also repeat something else I wrote in the other thread, which is that the strength of feeling here isn’t in isolation, it’s the result of the straw breaking the camels back. Changes have favoured the gankers and the big alliances for far too long, and this latest one is just the last straw for a lot of people. Considering the manner in which they rolled this out, I don’t have faith in CCP to listen or to do anything at all. They’re notorious for firing and forgetting. They need a bit of tough love, because they’re remarkably pigheaded sometimes, and you have no idea if this is a tiny vocal minority that’s trying to bully. There are rather a lot of blue banners showing that a lot of people who have never posted before, or haven’t in years and are suddenly incensed. It doesn’t prove, but it does suggest that a silent majority has awoken.
CCP could at least seed the BPO’s before the patch.
That would give people the time to get ready.
Not just seed a patch like they are bugfixing.
This has a lot of impact to a lot of players.
This feels half done with not enough communication given the impact on the players.
I have to agree to this, and as of now this is still my strongest concern. The fact that large null corps keep getting bigger and richer while small groups or even solo players are being kept more and more out of it. That’s not fun.
I foresee a lot of athanors being relocated to high/low sec border systems like Huola/Otelen to minimize risk to Indy, where things like reactions are concerned. No one going to want to go more than one jump into low sec to setup/fetch reactions, not with this huge negative impact on haulers, and screwing around with cloaks will make it worse. If nothing else, make it so these new observatories are only functional in .2 or .3 and below. At least leave .4’s alone, so high sec and small corp indy has a place to continue to viably function. THAT is a workable solution to at least some of the issues presented here, although it doesn’t really do much to make DST’s less worthless than they just became. It would however, allow BR’s to haul with an acceptable margin of safety. Or do what they should have done a LONG time ago, allow reactions in .5 space, but they won’t even consider that.
Wow, lots of mad people in here, WCS were and always were anti-content.
Rip WCS, long live faction scram Astero.
What? You are already doing the QA!
How dare you ask for money!
Of course it does. It uses the bonus on the scram. Just because the point doesn’t use the bonus doesn’t mean the scram doesn’t.
