Observation Array

The observation array is a small deployable structure. This requires a ship module named “subspace intellitgence communicator”. Upon deployment a player who has deployed the OA can switch field of view using the SIC button to perceive what the OA is perceiving. The observing vessel can not be stealthed. When the OA is activated, it becomes a beacon that can be scanned down relatively easy and ongrid it becomes a radio bright object up to a range of 300km, although more advanced variants of the device may have a more subtle signature. OA systems do not last particularly long, say hours in Highsec but relatively shorter in respectively Lowsec, Nulsec or WHS. - but there are highly valued relic variants that lost as long as the player stays logged on, or a full day (server reset) - whichever is less. These skills can only be used by OMEGA characters.

The device requires a fairly robust skill foundation, plus “Remote Viewing” skill. This is a hard skill to progress, but each progression allows for relatively longer distance observation.

One OA can be deployed, but there is a harder to aquire skill “Intelligence Specialist” that allows for deployment of up to 6 such platforms. This skill also allows the telemetry to be transferred to a station/citadel manager as to allow telemetry to be processed in a far more comfortable chair situated in Captains quarters close to the minibar.

What kind of gameplay are you trying to accomplish with this suggestion?

So is the item cloaked when out of use…?

Like I drop 1 on grid with a gate and head a couple systems away, then when I activate the array it becomes visible and I can see whats on grid with the gate remotely?

More an more skills like we dont have enugh skills as is.

There is no Captn Quarters in game. How you square that?
All stupid idea to make players waste time instead play the game as is.

There’s no idea to dissmiss you managed a wall of text without actually explaining what you wanted the structure to do or how it would benefit the current game
