I watched yesterday L0ru video where he blitz a Thera WH q
with a friend with two (free) Odysseus.
Not spoilering this video how it ends now… but there’s some serious questions about
how that video ends…
Within the run they also jump ship, go fo a gas run, come back, and the Odysseus is still there…
My questions are…
Is it possible to jump-boartd another ship and activate a delayed cloak so the Odysseus becomes invisible or does it stays visible to every enemy the whole time???
There is a “remote overview” of the Odysseus whilst you are in the “children” ship
(Astero, Outrider, Providence, Prospect, etc) that allows certain actions to be taken by
the Odysseus whilst still on the other ship.
One notable one is the ability to scoop up your “children” ship and automatically board the Odysseus.
I am quite excited by this. I was hoping we could do this. From what I understand, as long as you have your mothership targeted it cannot be interacted by another capsuleer. But I don’t know if this is the case because I have not tried it myself.
Modules deactivate if you unboard it, so no this is not possible.
That may be possible, but I would never unboard a 2b+ ship outside a POS. It’s just asking for your ship to get stolen.
This is true.
But realize that you too cannot board it while another capsuleer has it targeted so this is no practical safety measure. With other players on grid it becomes a challenge of ‘who can stay online longest’ to see if you can get your Odysseus back, and if they lose patience they can also decide to simply shoot it after the standoff of 7 hours.
You’re most likely not going to get that Odysseus back intact. Don’t unboard your ship.
