Off-Topic Thread vol. 2

Don’t give any lip about involuntarily holding anyone, slaver. You are only making yourself out to be an even bigger embarrassment than you already are.

Speaking of which, I know you are afflicted by some form of most ungraceful lunacy and enjoy pretending to be someone of note, but how about you start acting like your alleged station demands? Perhaps work on your reading comprehension a little? Hire a ghost writer? I am sure you can figure something out.

I have never denied Holding slaves, nor will I deny it. it’s who I am, I am just wondering if you can admit the Clades won’t free anyone from your conquered space.

Oh look at you using proper sentences and acting like a proper adult! You even kept yourself from mentioning Nauplius out of the blue this time! Good job, Ms. Deritan!

As for your significantly better phrased question, no, I will not be admitting anything of the sort as I would never lie. The residents of Pochven are, at this moment, not to leave. I will not make any statements about what will follow afterwards.

Not so out of the blue. He did mention

so I was just saying you could Have him.

That post was an irrelevant interjection made over 5 days ago, Ms. Deritan. I know Nauplius is an object of particular passion for you, but fixation like that displayed in public reflects poorly on your persona.
The fact that this is the singular point you choose to focus on in this discussion doesn’t help.

Have you tried calling? I am sure he could spare some time for you to talk if you so desire.

Passion? HA!. the only thing I want from him is to see him dragged before the Theology council and the Empress. and that’s something A lot of us want.

Yes, see? Passion.

None of which refutes the basic dishonesty of your statement. You’re still in no position to give any assurances about the potential for future negotiations. You have no insight into the Trigs’ plans, and whatever those plans are, you have no influence upon them, and so cannot honestly claim that anything will ever be ‘open for re-negotiation’.

FTFY.

My apologies, your concerns somehow got past my filter for a short time.

I cannot speak on anything regarding an investigation on the source of that transmission. That is outside of my jurisdiction and responsibilities.

What I can assure you and other participants of the Summit that the Security and Sanctity of this Summit is my highest responsibility and will be kept safe. There is no concern at this time regarding any issues with attacks on the Summit and its networks.

Should this change, it is imperative any suspicious activity be reported so that it can be swiftly dealt with and networks secured of any outside or internal threat.

Thank you,

You can approach me with this ■■■■■■■■ in private, no need to bother IGS with it, let alone ARC’s thread after they requested we ■■■■ off from it.

Thanks.

Hello Ms.Rhiannon. I certainly did not expect such a response from you, given that you’re a Diplomat for Electus Matari. Still, I should mention that I forgot to write something down at the end of my message inside that forum but it’s now been added. In any case, I’m open to discussing the issue with you as I’d not any bad feelings between EM and myself. I hope I can be of assistance.
Best regrads

As often as I disagree with Captain Rhiannon, I’m with her on this one. You speak of not expecting a response like that? What did you expect?

ARC is NOT a combat organization. If you wish to discuss any diplomatic matters pertaining to ARC, I am certainly available to do so.

Kind regards,

Diplomacy is not speaking softly. Diplomacy is finding the words that best serve getting your goal accomplished, in a way that preserves your reputation as an organization that can be negotiated with. Often polite words work best, but sometimes “■■■■ off with that ■■■■■■■■” works better.

When Sion Kumitomo headed up our Corps Diplomatique, he had a saying that summed that up somewhat: “Diplomats are not diplomatic.”

I still kind of feel like Ms. Jackal might have been doing something a little wrong though? 'Cause after her input I want her and her associates dead more, not less. It’s possible that’s the whole idea, but it doesn’t seem especially healthy to get the other side’s fighters in a mood to slice your face off and mount it on a wall.

Well, yes.

Stribog and their diplomat are exceptionally good at throwing anyway anything with which they might have been capable of using as leverage to make any sort of deal.

But I also suppose very few people would be willing to make that deal even if they didn’t.

So who really knows? I don’t think they’re actually trying to be diplomatic. I expect they want to rile us up.

Probably.

Well. Let’s inspire some regrets.

Well, would you look at that! And after all the pearl clutching that my laying down a little truth evoked in you Empire loyalists. . .

Amusing!

Let’s not engage in revisionist history, hmm? The current conflagration in Pochven was sparked, in its entirety, by the unilateral actions of ARC. ARC, an organization that now admits its complicity in dabbling with dangerous, poshlost technology and directly causing harm to the Collective. They organized an unwelcome incursion into space that that was not their own, for purposes directly in opposition to the desires of the sovereign government in the region. Were the kybernauts supposed to welcome this incursion? Was the Collective? If the roles were reversed and ships from Krai Perun were making an incursion into Empire space without permission, what exactly do you suppose the response would be?

If your answer involves anything other than railguns and burning wreckage, you are lying.

And what was my great crime here? Oh, that’s right: telling all of you that these actions were intolerable and predicting that they have violent consequences. For which, I might add, I was roundly criticized and accused of being a “bad diplomat.”

. . . . Even though I was ■■■■■■■ right.

Yes, anything to shift the blame to the kybernauts and avoid admitting that your little ARC friends created the whole situation in the first place! After all, regrets are no fun at all if they are your own!

Let’s not engage in revisionist history, hmm? The current conflagration in Pochven was sparked, in its entirety, by the unilateral actions of the Triglavian Collective. The Collective, an organization that has never denied its role in events, organized an unwelcome incursion into space that was not their own, for purposes directly in opposition to the desires of the sovereign government in the region.

Roles were reversed. Any current conflict is an outgrowth of the conflict begun by the Triglavians, and really, a part of that still ongoing conflict. Just because one side declares ‘we won’ doesn’t mean the other side has agreed.
