Omega prices

If I’m not mistaken there is an option to suspend a subscription by sending a request to Support.
Not sure about rules.

That is probably the most dumbest thing I have ever read.
Really dude??
I have spend more then enough on this game to play it ten years over…
So yeah, great advice…

If it is to be “due to request from the community” based on this thread, then you forgot half the actions.
“24-month subscription pack was removed and 1 month price reduced too 11 Euro/Dollars and 275 PLEX.”

Its not just the global state of affairs. Turkish players get a %100 tax for anything paid for in USD. EVE now costs more each month than what they pay for electricity.

I’ve refused to pay the $20 for the first account that then makes all other accounts $15/mo.

I used to have 4-6 accounts active at a time, and I paid cash… but now I maybe have 1 active every other month or so, and usually just PLEX. I have decades worth of game time in PLEX for when I want to screw with the markets and attain more PLEX from trading. But there are so many other games that appreciate my time and money more than CCP does.

Hope the $5 cash grab was worth it. In my case it’s a $60-90 monthly loss for CCP out of pure spite.

I don’t know if they still do it but there’s occasionally a deal on where you get PLEX discounted and then the 24 month pack is discounted on NES.

That represents the best value as far as I can tell.

When not currently in sub I usually just use the Weekend Fleet Pack, it’s like 3 days omega and some plex for spending money, comes in handy when you want to go casual (and despite the name, isn’t just for the weekend)

the 24-month deal is still worthwhile even if you don’t play for those 24 months. during your off time, set your character to SP farm (max attributes, implants). the SP you sell will pay for approximately 90% of that month.

you can also do this with the 12-month deal.

Why the hell would you pay for a 24 months sub and not play?

Then just sell the sp gain?

That has to be the top of daft reasons to just give CCP your cash.

So, when CCP breaks the game so much we can’t be assed to log in, we should still pay CCP 10% monthly fee, just because it was on sale?

If you had a calculator you could see that paying 10% for the few months you don’t play during those 24 is still cheaper than paying 1 or 3 months at a time if you play more than a few months a year.

I don’t play every single day anyway so there’s always going to be some wastage, that’s kind of an occupational hazard, if you pay for nextflix, a mobile phone, car insurance or gym memberships, and you don’t watch a movie every night, use your phone every day, drive every day or live at the gym, there’s wastage there.

I do have a calculator.

If I want to calculate how much more expensive 264 is than 2 * 20, I enter “2 6 4 - ( 2 * 2 0 ) =”, and then it says 224 more expensive, a negative number would mean cheaper.

EDIT
Paying CCP another sum for extractors (feel free to calculate the exact and share it with us), only makes it more expensive, not less. That I would then get ISK would just have made me pay extra to P2W currency in a game I didnt care to play. Also not a great deal.

Okay, maybe it is harder than I thought after all.

You are comparing two months of Omega with two years. Of course two years is more expensive.

The idea is that you’re likely going to buy more than two months of Omega in the coming two years if you have already been consistently playing pretty much every month for the past two years.

Seems you need reminded what you are answering to.

It was a very ambiguous statement.

Someone could be planning to play 10 months every year for the next two years, with two breaks of two months, which means they are “not planning to play for 24 months”.

It could also mean they are planning to play EVE for two months and then quit.

Or many things in between.

Given that buying a package of 3 months is about 60% more expensive than a month of the 24 pack, and that 1 month is about 100% more expensive, you can fill a lot of gaps, holidays or breaks from EVE that you pay ‘only 10%’ according to Kaivarian’s example above and still have it cheaper with a 24 month pack than buy buying multiple 3 month packs over the course of two years.

I mean, buying three packs of 3 months (so 9 months total) is already equally expensive as buying a full year. And more expensive than a full year of the two-year pack.

Only if someone is planning to quit the game within a few months is it cheaper to buy small packs.

You can first of all read the thread before you post, I know you never do that.

Then second if you do insist on jumping into the middle, you can see which posts things replies to by clicking the up arrows.

I’m in a similar situation. Can’t afford my fleets as i used to with the increased price, but still like the game. So i had to adapt playstyle and cut down on the paid accounts, actually saving me money in the end and producing a net loss for CCP as compared to what i was used to pay for EVE.
I also strongly focus on worthwhile discounts and packs, playing only when it feels affordable and playing something else during the time it is not. Sometimes i only activate a few accounts with the weekend fleet pass to do something like in the old days, have a little fun and have not go all the earlier invested money to waste. -Sigh- if it has to be like this, then be it…

I am also not too sure if all the discounts in general are going away with this announcement:

Or you could just quote the part that showed I was wrong, instead of pretending there was something I missed that made me wrong. As usual.

Yes, I had read the thread before I posted, as usual. And while there are things I might have missed, it helps the conversation if you don’t act like a dick.

I’m gonna skip over what others have posted, so if this is a repeat of some point already made – sorry about that.

Yeah, the subscription price has increased. So have pretty much all the goods and services in most countries I live in/visit regularly compared to what they cost 10-15 years ago. That’s the general tendency, prices go up, not down usually. Bread today does not cost what it cost in 1901. And CCP does offer discounts, so there is an option to take advantage of those.

As for PLEXing the account – it’s perfectly possible, and not something you have to ‘‘work for’’ either. I PLEX my account and I have done so for years. And I play very casually in the current period. An hour max per day on average. In the summer time not even that much.

EVE has a lot of options to make ISK, and depending on who you ask, it’s always either ‘‘very easy’’ or ‘‘very difficult’’. If you’re in that ‘‘very difficult’’ category, I suspect you should try something different than what you’re usually involved in for ‘‘income’’.

For the exact example that was even a reply to your own message:
