Good day. I’m not sure this topic hasn’t been brought up before, but a quick search didn’t turn up anything.
So, we have Upwell ships with infrastructure bays for citadel-related stuff and other junk. Why are we still hauling POS structures in regular cargo, even though they’re also part of infrastructure?
It doesn’t seem like a complicated change, but it would really help a lot of people who still use POSes.
Thanks for your attention.
Isn’t it about time CCP deletes the POS towers?
I think that is why the POS doesn’t fit in the recently added infrastructure holds: the POS doesn’t fit in CCP’s vision of EVE either.

POSes serve an important function in the game, and it’s still possible to live using them. Where a station is an easy target, a POS provides an opportunity to establish a foothold and have a protected spot in the system. Removing this structure from the game would be a huge mistake by CCP—just as much as not adding it to the structure hangar.
I agree, removing the POS right now would be a bad move.
First CCP needs to finally add the small Upwell structure that can replace most of the remaining functionality of the POS before deleting the POS from the game.
