So the edencom haulers are supposed to be the kings of infrastructure management right, but the squall cannot even scoop a control tower into its vast infrastructure hold. There is only an option to scoop to cargo hold. Isnt a control tower part of space infrastructure ? Why are they left out ?
No, they are not. POSs (Player Owned Structures) is a legacy system from the early days. Upwell Structures have replaced POSs and they now only serve a single purpose - “Death Sticks.” A cheap way to make a “safe” little pocket of space near Planet/Moon. All anchorable structures that could once be deployed inside a POS’s forcefield were removed/disabled shortly after release of Upwell Structures.
POS is not among the allowable items of the Infrastructure Hold, neither should it - they only (still) exists because CCP cannot remove them from the game or it would break so much of the Legacy Code (would require a complete rebuild of EVE’s source code).
Incorrect. If you get warp scrambled and shot by POS modules you will know which ones still work. And those are not the only ones.
