Option to disable inactive client fps throggling

issue: when client is not in focus, it’s fps drops. rapid switching between clients cause a delay that is noticeable.

i have tried windowed mode

i tried nvidia settings

please fix, thank you!

You said you tried Nvidia settings, but just in case:

(Approximate wording, my OS is French, so I try to translate)

in Nvidia config panel, under 3D Parameters → Manage 3D parameters

  • Maximum frame per second : (whatever you like or whatever your display can render)
  • Maximum frame per second for background application : (set it the same as the above)

Personnaly, I set the foreground application to 60 (max my display can handle) and background to 20fps, else it is too taxing on my PC with 4 clients. I don’t have the issue you mention, the fps on the alt-tabbed client goes straight to 60.

Ignore this if you have it set already.

In Global and EVE settings, I set:

Max Frame Rate = 144 FPS

Background Application Max Frame Rate = 144FPS

Didn’t work. I appreciate the advice. I think this is an EVE thing and how they handle multiple clients. In the FPS monitor, it clearly shows FPS Throttling: Not Focused or None whether it is active or not. And I can see the FPS dip each time I switch clients.
