(P.A.N.I.C) Invulnerability Core

There comes a time when a miner is out performing their favourite New Eden activities such as mining :pick: that they feel the need for activating the panic button on their ship.

This module could be fitted as a low slot fitting that replaces the standard damage control module.

Once the panic button is pressed no other mining can take place until the known threat has been eliminated by our good friends Concord.

This fits perfectly into our plan to make highsec a safe space and the first step to saving our precious mining barges.

Type of ship class allowed in highsec with the new Pulse Activated Nexus Invulnerability Core;

Industrial Command Ships
Deep Space Transport
Mining Barges
Exhumers
Blockade Runners
Expedition Frigates
Ventures

Seems a bit unworkable. Why should everyone else stop mining just because your ship is being attacked ? What’s more, gankers could simply hang around for hours and cause you to ‘panic’ and thus prevent any mining all day. In fact I’d find it hilarious if all I had to do was enter a system in a Catalyst and hang around at the edge of a belt and all mining in the entire system then stopped. I’d thank you for giving me such power !

It will only be for no Longer than 20 seconds.

According to CCP, there is already a ship in hisec that is capable of using the PANIC invulnerability core.

Rex is just teasing cause Rex knows that I found the thread on the Rorq. In Sales Section rather interesting.

Why not allow it on freighters?

Btw I think @Zaera_Keena might be interested in this thread.

Also missed opportunity to call it S.A.F.E.T.Y. Invulnerability Core.

What do you mean by “threat”?
The only thing that is clearly a threat is belt rats, but I don’t think that’s the problem you want to solve.
If you mean gankers, they are just neuts who become a threat when they start attacking you. When they do, it’s already to late to push the button.

I would just fly around the space in Vulture panicking every system myself

Should 'Ave Fitted Extenders To Yourfit…much better than a panic button.

You can already activate the PANIC button on your ship and save all the miners around you with no changes to the game!

All you have to do is to mine in your Rorqual outside High Security space.

Mining is not a stupid activity and the same could be said about gankers… so watch it lady!
