It won’t be today. All of CCP has extinguishers in hand in case the building sets ablaze from the action in Cloud Ring.
That’s a good clarification.
if you have real evidence, file a support ticket or send the data to security@ccpgames.com
Pretty sure CCP are on this already, hell I wasn’t playing and I heard about this.
They’re not going to a say anything about it as per usual so the op is bringing it up to get a discussion going.
Personally I’ve had heaps of fun scrapping with pirat over the years and largely because they’ve no fecking morals whatsoever and fight duuuurty as sin, which always gave a good sense of purpose to shooting them in the face.
As for shitless (or however you spell it) it’s definitely something I’ll be keeping an ear to the ground for and I’ll be particularly interested in how the alliance holds up.
Where is the point in complaining about bots? I mean the game is blatantly pay to win. Where is the difference if someone bots or buys PLEX?
Can you expand on that? I’d like to know your thoughts.
I don’t.
Here’s another one that needs to be gone. One guy with at least 14 accounts in a high sec ice anom system. He wipes out the ice anom every day, every time it pops up. There are always at least 12 skiffs, an orca, and obelisk within inches of each other and they all move simultaneously. The only way I can keep him from doing this is to break out my Mach and bump his freighter and orca, and even then all he does is dock his freighter and switch to a porpoise and keeps right at it.
PIRAT turned me into a newt !
A newt?
Oh man this is an easy one,
I’ve done this and know it works.
Take bump Talos
Fill highslots with festival launchers
Fill festival launchers with as many and as varied fireworks as you can.
Now go bowling with his fleet while his GPU screams.
This may be a situation describing the “Hybrid Botter”. They typically don’t RMT but aren’t adverse to any free coinage. Hybrid Botter is defined as a player who uses scripted macros for mind numbing chores while at the keyboard. Often they are tabbed out of the brain drain task and have other game window up looking at the market drooling over their future wealth. Nonetheless its a sad situation.
Its honestly hard to tell the real driving intent, but they can’t really be classified as a true bot. It does however show the nature of inherent flawed design implementations.
The pic is humorous for its obvious phallic shape.
Remember though, you can actually do this without botting, ice cycles are long enough to actively manage , the last can be done through the fleet window.
I doubt they’ll ban or disband an entire alliance because of a few people botting…
I got better
What is there to expand on? You can buy PLEX for real money and sell it for in-game money.
The problem with any of the botter take down is that no matter how much code or someone on a quest to kill botters is the amount of bots and how wide spread they are, high sec, null both have bots not to sure of low and WH because of the lack of protection from flamers.
CCP would have to change the coding from the bottom up, a monumental task for something that could change the very thing that has kept it going all these years.
When I understand something written,I don’t usually question it,though it may be of incorrect form or structure.
I don’t see your post as correct for what is Eve.
A simple search yielded this which I am inclined to agree with.
“P2W = Buying something with real money that IS NOT obtainable in game that offers a significant power advantage over others. Pay to Progress Faster is not Pay to win.”
A clear distinction. I think CCP knows very well the difference.
Well if he changes to a porpoise from an Obelisk then it kinda stands to reason he is probably just Multiboxing which my understanding is not against the eula, in which case more power to him for keeping 14 non alpha accounts going, best way to beat him is to do the same, then when you get attacked you know who is behind this multiple accounts.
Yes, it’s clear to CCP, and clear to people with sense… but then the forum has been filled with “EvE is dying” for 10 years, so it isn’t like “people with sense” and “EvE forum posters” are exactly overlapping sets.
That’s still pay to win. “Games that let you buy better gear or allow you to make better items then everyone else at a faster rate and then makes the game largely unbalanced even for people who have skill in the game without paying.”
If one corp spends real life money in a war then they will have a clear advantage. This game is a PvP game right?
