I already said that need not necessarily happen.

For example, every single gate could come with a mandatory pop up IF AP is used. The pop up could appear in random locations on the screen to avoid button pressing devices if that is your concern. And if you choose to berate me (as I know you already did) surely someone can set up their own AP code that works as if someone is there clicking each gate so have a think.

As a ganker i find the landscape for doing this too easy. I think we all agree that a freighter for instance should have more slots on it than the three low slots it currently has.

Slots make no difference. You rarely have ability to fight back so there minimal difference in ganking freighter or BS. Gank happens of screen. Once guns are firing target already dead unless someone makes horrible mistake.
