Same, i have almost 120 mil sp, a jack of all trades so if i decide to do something other than missions i can.
We used to have proper trolls and now we have whatever this is.
Is that a gauntlet I see on the ground? ![]()
I still fail to get the premise of this thread and why the OP portraits his/her scenario to be an example for everyone.
It is a very specific example of a playstyle that just fits to him/her and certainly not to me. So i wonder why and what exactly anyone has to learn from this example?
Nothing of it applies to most of the players. They don’t want to spend that kind of RL money, usually have a main character that they need to train well over 50m SP and have the other characters usually lower than 50m SP and in a support role for industrial, research or market shenanigans.
Everyone who is not crying right now has been watching this show on the sidelines.

A good cry is never wasteful.
Someone mistook EVE forums for Instagram.
Reading some the replies in this thread, i dont think you have to worry about that happening.
Maybe OP will enter the EVE vocabulary:
impulse buyer wallet warrior capsuleer:Oh man I’ve wasted my skills by extracting them from my main and spending on the wrong alt. All that SP got completely wasted on a trade alt.
friend capsuleer:Bro you mean you’ve pulled a One Ugly Cat on your skillpoints?
impulse buyer wallet warrior capsuleer:Yeah dude, what a bummer.
friend capsuleer:Condolences bro.
impulse buyer wallet warrior capsuleer:Thanks, I appreciate it.
friend capsuleer:Let’s blow up some miners or haulers, that’ll cheer you up.
impulse buyer wallet warrior capsuleer:Yeah, let’s do that.

No, that reasoning only applies to skill injecting your character.
Everyone else faces no diminishing returns on their skill training beyond 50M SP and just continues training at the same rate as before.
I think you’re mental.
It’s not like you can’t play the game while training skills, there’s plenty for low skilled chars to do.
My main has over 300M SP, and I haven’t run out of things I want to train.
The fun of this game is the pace, you seem to want to shortcut the fun to achieve some arbitrary goal, I think that’s delulu.
I think it’s great that FCCP offers players the option to buy SP so these spenders can sponsor this game we all like playing.
I also think 50M SP is rather low for a well-rounded character, it is about the value my focused alts are at.
You’ll likely want to stay around and keep playing to earn more SP the regular way to fly more ships, if you have the patience to do so.
But given how quick you injected and extracted your character you seem to prefer rapid spending of money over patience, so I wonder if you’re still playing this game next year or have found something new by then to spend money on.
It is not even that; this is a performance.
I think EVE is not the usual hit and run game. It is a long term investment in the learning curve, buildup of strategies, social contacts and everything else as well.
You will hit your 2000$ easily if you play EVE for 20 years and will already have usable characters in almost every way after the first if not the second year.
In your case you would have to pay 2000$ for the instant SP and then on top another 2000$ for the 20 years of playtime.
It just makes no sense at all, because you wouldn’t invest the 2000$ if you were not sure that you play the game for a very long time, in which you achieve the same for free as part of your journey.
So alone for economic reasons, it would choose to pay 2000$ for 20 years and not 4000$ for 20 years.
Also if you are a multiboxer it makes even far less sense…you have to economically spread and train all your accounts.
I have not used a skill injector to date. Have bought and sold same. Made a tidy profit from them. But on a whole. The only skills I do inject are the ones that FC provides on the Tuesdays and if I decide to grind out those daily goals. Fine. But generally I hold onto the SP. Use it more strategically. That is just me.
However, While I understand the sentiment of pay to progress. Eve has always been a marathon. Not a sprint. But FC is always happy to take money if a player has talked themselves into ‘I want to pay money, instead of time’.
The reality is that there is a diminishing returns on constantly just injecting SP. Thinking you are cutting the time on skilling into something. As you are a returning vet. You could skill into a T2 Or even a T3 ship in short order. Get into it and be able to fly with some remembered competence. A new player that follows your advice is going to find out in short order that because you can skill into a T2 ship.
Does not follow that the new player could fly that T2 ship with any real competence. In fact most here have either read or have heard of a new player Skilling into a T2 or higher ship. Took it out for a run around and was made a pretty fireball in the sky. Rage/quit posts are made of these things.
You may get away with accelerating you Skills, but for a new player. that is asking for something unfortunate to happen and a rage/quit post all at the same time. Which brings up the more obvious question in all of this. If you are impatient to be flying and having the skills to fly a T2 and above ships. Why not just use your old character? Evidently you had the needed skill set to do all this anyways.
All I know is after hitting 50m SP on each of my alts I’m extracting any regular SP gains to PLEX them (which should cover ~90% of the annual cost).
Daily/weekly/monthly bonuses (~650k SP/month) will be applied to new skills such that each should still increase by about 7-8m SP per year.
Ok so…? What was your point in all this. Repeating ad nauseum doesnt help you
Of all the bad wasteful ideas you wish to inspire newbies with in this thread this may be the worst.
This entire thread feels made by a person who offloaded their critical thinking skills to AI.; if you didn’t know better the novel ideas sound smart and diminishing returns above 50M SP certainly are a thing in one specific context, but is somehow hallucinated to apply to other cases too.
You are of course free to do so, but I hope any impressable newbies reading the thread have enough critical thinking skills of their own to avoid these examples.
