Im running into Issues whit the EvE Client when im Multiboxing EvE. I was able to run 14 Clients on one Grid whit a usage of 50 to 60% of my 64gb of Ram. Each client needing about 1gb to 2gb Max in August. Now this is the new World for me:
When i undocked in 1dq the Ram usage once rise for 1 client to 4.4gb wich froze my PC. Had to hard reset the PC to get it running again.
I don´t know when this started. I took a break starting on July through Oktober barely playing.
Is this now normal now or is this some kind of a new bug ? Or is my PC needed of a Upgrade ?
My Rig:
Intel 12900k (did some stresstesting no errors found max 80c)
Nvidia 3080TI (same as CPU max 90c)
4x 16gb Ram (2x Samsung 2x Corsair) @3200mhz
Eve Preview is also runing but whitout overlays, i only use it for Client shortcut
Numpad 1 is Client 1 and so on.
Edit: Client settings full Potato mode whit Weapon effects on (need to see whos shooting me )
and a Resolution at 2560x1440
So, since the changes around October (IDK what they specifically were - I only run a few clients) But…
People I know who run 15-20 Clients were having trouble with 64GB. One guy moved to a 128 GB setup and his stability increased - another guy moved to over this ammount but had to use a special hardware piece to achieve this.
I also know a guy who runs 30 accounts, and he use less ram, a gen 9 intel chip and 1000 series nvidia card, but is using a board with server chipsets and components.
Another Guy I know who runs 10-20 depending on activity, rather than upgrade, plugged in a second computer and installed “windows without borders” to access them from the same mouse keyboard monitor setup.
They added volumetric clouds which are always on by default unless you set your graphics shader to “low” (aka: potato) mode. They may have introduced other changes as well.
Most of us have seen a 25-33% performance hit since October.
