In a nutshell, this is the message from Pearl Abyss to CCP.

Good riddance PA, Most of the horrible monetization in Eve over the past 5 year is due to their aggressive monetization policies. PA/BOD or black desert online has rep for being worst rip off game in online space. Next year I hit 20 years of eve online. I do not like what PA did to this game.
I would instead ask for a new class of haulers with interchangeable subsystems like how T3Cs work.
I’d like a freighter that I could actually put a fit on- like the Bowhead and Avalanche, but not with a specialized hull. For example- take the Bowhead, remove the Ship Maintenance Bay, and increase the cargo hold to 800,000 m³
leave the bowhead alone…thats mikes ship.
I used it as an example. I like the ship. It has a very strong shield and hull which allows a very interesting fit. I don’t want that to change.
Another fine example of people just splitting hairs.
This is simply nothing but a company bailing because of money…again. As far as game mechanics, improvements, of whatever you want to call it…nothing is going to change because its now the precedence.
CCP will have to find another money train if you want anything done for the good. Im willing to bet that if anyone brings this up at FanFest, it will be short answered as quickly as possible and the discussion subject will change very quickly.
Well seeing as none of thats going to happen, can i have your stuff?
You know paying ISK to someone else to sub your account existed a LONG time before PLEX right?
Its been around for most of EVE’s life at this point
I know. And I have no problem with that. Players get to set that price.
If things continue as they are, the path of CCP is obvious:
In the not too distant future, you will be able to buy mine and work permits for Exordium, so you can stay and grind there in absolute safety after the first 4 weeks that you get granted for free as a new player.
Finally, a mining permit I’d actually pay for.
And players get to set the price of ingame PLEX as it stands now, so i’m not even sure what your complaint actually is at this point, do you even know what your complaint is?
so obvious that there has been literally nothing ever communicated that would even slightly suggest it? Days and days of fearmongering and boogieman strawmen, and now this. C’mon man.
Of what do you have to be more afraid these days you think: Of things that got announced or of things that didn’t get announced?
Because if you go for things that got announced and even promised…well those things are well up for change at any minute anyway.
Remember how it was promised that there would be no pay2win ever? And that only cosmetic items were to be sold in stores?
And then we suddenly had skillpoints sold by the millions and also ships. For cash. Circumventing any industry or effort in EVE.
If i go by these precedents, i can envision many things that would make money and that CCP could introduce.
It seems you don’t see this or you don’t care. But from the mentioned precedents many people were already fed up and left the game. I just hope CCP won’t bring it to the point where they alienate their complete player base.
The introduction of Exordium however goes into that direction again, since it interferes with core EVE principles. And whatever they might introduce on top of it could be the iceberg and tipping point.
They do whatever it takes to get money now.
Are you a whale? Want to buy your way in? Just get in touch with CCP at their premium contact Email adress if you need to buy more than 80.000 PLEX at once.

Thing is, skillpoints aren’t pay to win, they are pay to open up options, you buying 200mil SP doesn’t mean you’re going to automatically win anything or that you’ll even be at an advantage, its similar to the old “i can never catch up to xmil SP player” that newbros used to spout, having 400mil SP doesn’t really do anything for you as only so many points can actually apply to any given ship at any one time and they cap out
Having infinite ISK doesn’t mean you’ll win either, its just paying to skip the grind and just get straight to the blowing each other up part
I don’t fear anything concerning a video game. To do so is weird to me. It’s just a game, what is there to fear?
Valid point but also incomplete because: since EVE has no real goal to achieve, what is pay2win for you? Since you can’t win, it is everything that circumvent the EVE industry for me, where you don’t have to put any effort into it aside from the amount of money.
And if your pockets are deep enough, then you can pay your way into your goal faster than the guy without these deep pockets. What you can do with your money could also be something that the other guy just with a simple EVE subscription could never achieve even if he would play for 50 years or more.
I really just wait for residential agents where you can pay to have a station placed wherever you want and a special customer shipyard where you can just pay to have a titan delivered.
This is incorrect on so many levels. There is nothing in this game that can be bought that cant be achieved through play.
So please do me a favor. How much time would it take for you with one subscription fully paid to reach 80k PLEX?
And if you come up with any number, i will just double to 160k PLEX and ask again. Until you can’t make it.
But whales can. 80k PLEX costs just 2000 USD. 2000 USD is no money for a whale. They spend anywhere from 10.000 to a million USD.
And even if you would play 24/7 the next 50 years you wouldn’t be able to achieve the same value ingame. Whereas they have the ability to lose assets of thousands of USD and just replace them by getting fresh PLEX.
Haven’t you seen the PLEX sales on the forums recently? They go by the hundredthousands…i guess just one reason why PLEX is so cheap on the market atm.
