Personal fittings limit update

For the fittings enjoyer 500 personal limit is to little. Please update it to 2000 or more. It’s 2026 and it’s a textfile, should’nt be to much of an technical issue to increase.

I agree, but in the meantime you can get your fittings fix in on pyfa on desktop and Tritanium app on your iPhone.

It’s 2026, time to learn to manage your fittings.

I guarantee you don’t fly 500 different fits. Export the ones you want to save but don’t fly anymore and 500 is more than enough.

Exactly, export it to your own drive if you want to archive it. 500 is way more actively used fits than anyone realistically needs.

Say CCP increases the limit.

Once you hit 2000 fits, will you then back up your unused fits and clean up the rest of the fits that you don’t regularly use?

Or will you then create a thread to ask for a ‘personal fittings limit update’ to push the limit higher from 2000?

Because, this:

If you don’t need it that is totally fine, it’s also no big deal for CCP to increase it. It’s a textfile and it will have almost zero impact technically.

Precisely, so why does CCP have to store that text file that’s only important to you? It’s a personal fitting, therefore it’s your personal issue to deal with. It’s a complete waste of resources for absolutely no purpose other than you being too lazy to clean up your unused fits.

There are millions of accounts in Eve, even if they’re not used. They’re never deleted unless requested. Every one of those accounts has 1-3 characters allocated space for stored fittings. You want to quadruple that allocated space for millions of characters, and somehow this is only a small change? Sure bro, whatever you say.

We won’t even get into the increase in lag whenever you open the fitting window because it now has to process all that extra data.

Sounds to me like you want CCP to expend a lot of resources and degrade the server performance for everyone else, all because you won’t clean up after yourself.

But that’s totally fine because we don’t have to use it, right?

Sure.
