EVE is EVE. One man’s ‘problem’ is another man’s opportunity. It’s all 100% fair, because EVE allows anyone to play any role. The ‘victims’ in EVE choose to be the victims. If a person chooses to be a wildebeest, they should not be surprised if a lion has an eye on their backside as lunch.

I do think there are some real problems in EVE. Botting/macro use is one and the lack of population growth with the player base is another one. This is why I voted “yes”.
I guess those are problems in Eve, but as it’s a virtual world, are they really real?

if you see EVE Online as a product for the company and beloved hobby for the players, yes of course.
EVE was niche game. Numbers were growing.
Then things started to break down. Numbers dropped. CCP should have taken the $$$ they got and try to come up with an EVE 2.2 that catered to the new player mindset while keeping 2.1 for promotional effect. Something you could aspire to if you wanted to?

play a single player game and all those problems are sorted out
I’m mostly playing a single player game already… 20 players docked up in-station and 1 actual player on his way out of the system isn’t exactly a multiplayer game…

Just one of those currently docked players has to start shooting your ship to quickly turn the single- into a multiplayer game.
An explorer in my system a couple of days ago found that out that docked people can be docked just to swap to a more appropriate ship for multiplayer action.

To be sure. It didn’t happen in my “neck of the woods” for a few hours, which isn’t to say that it didn’t happen right after I logged off for breakfast… (darned those infernal waffles!)
The “multiplayer” component really doesn’t happen that often for me - but that’s why I’m in high-sec to begin with…
When you read the provocation from the people around, it’s easy to get angry and reply.
But they are kinda right. The game is working right, the problem is what you expect from the game… You can’t see year after year the same design and think:
“OMG, they don’t know what they doing, let me post to fix that!”.
For real, get a grip.
There are legitimate issues in EVE. Even problems. Power projection is one and we’ll see where the chips fall in September…
Everyone always has the option of voting with their wallet…

Correction, you never placed a station anywhere. You placed a structure and traded a structure, but you never placed a station.

Poverty level in the states is $16000 per year, I make $18700, so 15% is $2400 at poverty level. Are you really throwing that much cash $200 per month at other games? My game budget is about $50 to $100 a month depending on what I am playing. I seldom go as high as $100.

I think (or at least hope) you forgot a zero…
Again, it depends on his age, location, etc. My 1st job was a dishwasher. I can’t put anybody down without more info. I just hope he can do better.
