Petition to Change the Name of Covert Ops Frigates to be More Accurate

I petition FC to change the name of Covert Ops frigates to Cuck Ops because you only ever use them to watch other people have fun.

Either that or they could take a break from handing nullsec everything they ever wanted on a silver platter to make hacking a viable and enjoyable gameplay loop instead of a constant dive down endless wormholes looking for cans that were already hacked by someone three days ago.

Hey, at least they left you the carbon, right?

Until then it looks like my 70mil Cheetah is stuck watching sweaty Sedit nerds shuffle through gates on their way to blueball people with their fancy pancakes. Is this the life you want for hackers, FC? Gate watch cuckoldry and carbon disposal?

I mean I would normally chalk it up to bad luck and try again tomorrow but at this point I’m pretty sure my next can will pop open to reveal yet another CSM who promises to advocate for my interests and then promptly turns around and attempts to burn down my house.

You are allowed to decloak and fight someone while flying a Covert Ops frigate, just so you know.

They’re surprisingly threatening when fit with a scram and covert cyno.

And the hacking minigame is a viable enjoyable gameplay loop. If you encounter cherry picked sites you could try finding the person who did that, because they aren’t 3 days before you but likely just a couple of systems ahead of you. Or you could take a different route and hack elsewhere in the region instead of just behind a cherry picker.

The Astero is particularly good at getting hacking loot by hunting other hackers. Highly recommended, it’s fun.

I’m uh… not seeing the covert ops frigates represented so well on zkill there my guy. Light a cyno? For whom? The rest of the fleet? LOL. Kinda proves my point doesn’t it?

If I wanted to pew pew stuff, I’d probably undock a combat ship and not go scanning. But hey!

I’m not really sure what the thing you wish to complain about is.

Is it that the non-combat covert ship with bonuses to avoid combat which you decided to fly is meant to avoid combat when you’re on your own?

I tried to keep it light so the less advantaged would be able to understand. I see that was a mistake.

To the OP, the covert ops is well named, they are for sneaking about the place and seeing what folks is up to.

And given the total lack of hacking sites anywhere in the known 'verse, that is all they are for.

Unless for some reason you need another corpse MTU I guess…

In my 9 years in EVE I’ve never had trouble finding hacking sites when exploring.

Could it be a skill issue?
