Planetary Industry Escalations

I’d like to propose an idea about planetary escalation.

Two variants:

  1. An RTS (real-time strategy) session against NPCs. Gather resources, build a base and army, destroy the enemies.

  2. A Tower Defense session. Defend your planetary base.

If victorious, for example, a bonus to the planet’s production could be granted. If defeated, a production debuff.

The more efficient the system built, the higher the chance of triggering an escalation, and/or the less downtime over a certain period, the higher the chance of getting an escalation.

Sure, because Eve needs more ways for you to be passive and not play the game.

RTS was brought up when PI was first released, as was landing on the planet and doing raids on colonies.

You treat my suggestion as a major change. But the point is different: you do the things you enjoy more — mining ore, building ships, fighting, scanning, hauling cargo, or whatever — and at some point, you get a bit tired of your usual activities and go into planetary escalation for a short change of pace.

Though it might indeed be a crazy idea). There was something similar in Space Rangers.

Passive resource generation does not need any bonuses.
