I had a lot of time with EVE as Omega. After a while I wanted to return to the game but I’ve noteiced that the game is much more expensive since I’ve left the game. I was thinking to return to the game but after I saw the prices I desist this idea. I can’t also play as an alpha because , no skills to upgrade and most of the items I had is unusable. That is very upsetting.

When you choose to not eat at a restaurant, do you also leave reviews on Yelp complaining about what they should be doing that would entice you to eat there?
Do you leave Steam reviews for games you decided not to purchase? Giving advice to the developer of what needs to be changed for you to buy the game?
Do you leave Amazon reviews for products you didn’t buy? Giving notes to the manufacturers of what changes are needed in the products to get you to buy their product?
You admit you don’t play the game, so why are you here necroing a thread, spamming 5 out of the last 7 replies, to spread negativity? Go enjoy your Eve-free life outside of the Eve community. It’s folks like you that kill any constructive forum vibes and give the forums its reputation of negativity. And you won’t be the one left to bear the brunt of that reputation – we have to. Close…. It’s 15 Million last YEAR. The losses are not just keeping the servers running, it is the huge investment they are making in development costs.

Well here is my take. The cloest MMO I can draw lines to from EVE is Star Trek Online. Pretty much “endstage”? MMO. They still expand on the story devs draw inspiration from series. Some new PVE scenarios and stuff but pretty much all the same grind. People know Star Trek Online is a free to play game because it’s a easy PVE simulator. STO keeps running because of really micro transactions and people purchasing life time subscriptions for unique ships and skins. Ultimately all/most of the ships are great at PVE in STO.
With EVE. It’s made clear being an omega has massive advantages over alpha as there is so much more in t2 ships/gear alphas can’t get. Perhaps people get the perception you NEED omega to play the game to it’s fullest potential. I am right in that boat I couldn’t play Stellaris w/o every DLC. Bought every DLC and I am going to enjoy that game for pretty much the rest of my life.
Getting to my point. I feel like EVE has been marketed to were people know being an alpha is being a second class citizen. I have a good feeling there are many consumers like me who can’t stand putting their time in a game and not getting everything. The subscription market is very vicious EVE is competing with every subscription provider out there. AND the video games of as high complexity of EVE for a simple one time purchase. Why subscribe to EVE when I could enjoy other games for a one time purchase?

No this is my business because I am the customer. I can make negative critisim , I can complain of anything about any product. A company who doesn’t listen their customers will lose everytime. Actually you are the one doing a business no body wants it from you. Or are you a worker in EVE ?
